Our students spent two incredible days at Elk Island National Park learning camping skills, exploring the outdoors, making new friends, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
For many students, this was their very first camping experience. From setting up tents and cooking outdoors to sharing stories and laughs around the campfire, it was amazing to see students step outside their comfort zones and embrace the adventure.
One highlight? Our campfire storytelling game, where each person added a sentence to the story. Let’s just say it took some very unexpected turns and somehow involved a tow truck driver becoming the star of the show.
A huge thank you to Parks Canada for helping make this experience possible. For the past three years, this partnership has given students the opportunity to learn, connect, and experience the outdoors in a welcoming and supportive environment.
