OSU Everyone! 🥋

Our Annual Family Picnic on Sunday, June 14 was a huge success. Great food, great company, and a strong turnout from across the EKKC family – exactly the kind of afternoon that reminds us why this dojo is more than just a place to train.

A heartfelt thank you to Senpai Amy for organizing the event, coordinating the potluck, and making everything come together so smoothly. And to every member, parent, and guest who showed up, brought a dish, helped with set-up or clean-up, or simply spent the day with us – thank you. Events like this don’t happen without you.

As part of the picnic, we also announced our Student of the Year 2026 awards. Please join me in congratulating:

OSU Everyone!

Last Saturday was a very special day at EKKC as we celebrated two successful promotions to 2nd kyu. 🥋
Senpai Ryo Chong and Senpai Roland Szabo showed exceptional conditioning, strong spirit, and a very high technical level throughout their grading.

I am proud to welcome them both to our junior instructor roster.

Ryo has been with EKKC since 2014 and Roland since 2022, and they continue to set a great example for our students on and off the mats.

OSU Everyone!

Last weekend, four of our young fighters from EKKC - Savannah Laslo, Tianna Laslo, Yaroslav Romakh and Kyrylo Romakh - stormed the 40th Canadian Kyokushin Karate Championship at Cascades Casino Delta in Delta, BC, entering 6 divisions and bringing home 6 gold medals.🔥🔥🔥
