Happy Thanksgiving long weekend friends! Going to be a bit of a snowy one sadly, but if you’ve lived here long enough you know its weather bingo in the Fall.

Yowza.What a week of racing!Tired of everyone’s World’s photo dumps?Tough! One of the best weeks of racing and on Canadian soil. Never a dull moment. Amazing people and a beautiful city.So many great PRW folks all over the city. It’s like everyone from YEG was there,couldn’t walk 10 feet without running into one of you 😜.Love it and wouldn’t change it. Good times had by all and I am sure many like me are still recovering. Big thanks to my friends at Shimano Canada for treating me to four days of amazing hospitality and memories.

Bags packed and I am outta here! Off to Montréal for World’s week! But before I hit La Belle Province, a quick detour to Bike School AKA the Wind Tunnel. Joining Graham and the gang from Factor to offer my expert thumbs up as the master of mounting GP 5000’s by hand 😎. Got a sneak peek at the run sheet, and as always some cool things in the works. Never a dull moment and I always learn new things. Yay science! Shop is open but the gang will be joining me later, so the shop will be closed Thursday Sept. 24-28th.

Should be an amazing week of racing. If you are heading out, I will be on the mountain with a cold Cinquante in hand. Living!

Another PRW Anniversary edition Factor Bikes Raiden build. This one for a PRW Alumni, good friend and one accomplished athlete, my man Ross Wilson. Ross bought his first Road bike from me over 12 yrs ago. Little did I know at that time just what he would end up doing when he got the “bug”.

11 Para World Championship medals on the track. Among those 3 WC Jerseys. He held the IP World Record and Hour Record. Silver medal in the IP at the Rio Paralympics as well. He still holds Canadian records in MC1 kilo, MC1 individual pursuit, MC1 200. And thats just his Track palmares, his Road and TT results are as impressive. Those that ride with Ross know he hasn’t slowed down much since “retiring”, always game to ramp it up if you are. He’s taken me to half-wheel hell a few times this year 🤣.

His first ride impressions on the new fit and bike?

“In pace lines, this bike will get me in trouble because it’s like having a little devil on your shoulder constantly encouraging you to push a little harder and go a little faster. It’s just designed for destroying groups”

Any you thought the Factor One was polarizing 😂. The latest aero race bike from our friends at Factor is the Elara. Taking elements of the One and Ostro and combining them into the fastest Gravel Bike on the market. This thing in Virescent Blue is absolutely stunning. Paired with the new Black Inc 64 gravel hoops this baby rolls! Clearance? Is 57mm measured enough? Thought so. Come see it in the flesh now at the shop, but be prepared. You will want one, badly. You’ve been warned.

Heads up shop is open today and closed this long weekend. Back at it Tuesday. Off to ride some bikes in the rain.

New bike day for my bud Pierre ! Sold him his first bike 10 years ago and here we are again! It was so fun planting the seed on what the new rig should be and I knew in my heart it had to be a Factor Monza. It just suits him perfectly. Couple of late night DM’s and he was committed 🤣. Love how he rolls.

54cm Sram Force build kit, 38/130 barstem combo, Black Inc 58’s which suit this bike so much better than the stock 45’s (sorry Factor). Mounted up some chonky Corsa Pro’s 32mm tubeless to make those RR 213 death marches a wee bit more comfy. Thanks for the support my friend! See you in another 10 years ?!

Meant to post this last week but you know how work life goes 🤪. Go away for a few days and it takes a week to catch up on things when you get back. Well worth it! Big thank you to the whole Givelo family for treating us all to such an amazing experience. Loved every second of it and made some new friends from across the globe. Beautiful rides and people. A lot of stories to share about a country that proves road culture is alive and well.

Can’t wait to show off some of the new products this little company from Colombia is developing. Utilizing fabrics that no one else in the bike industry is using. Always innovating and never settling, the Givelo way.

Yo ! Been full tilt since landing in Colombia for the first ever Givelo ® cycling apparel dealer summit. My first time to Colombia and what a better way to experience it than with my friends at Givelo. Amazing riding, amazing people and the views this country offers are breathtaking. Such hospitality ! Feel so lucky for the experience and how welcoming the people are here. The culture of cycling is so ingrained here, that you can’t go anywhere without seeing the passion the people have for it. The history is everywhere, simply beautiful. Few more days to take it all in before heading home to share some amazing stories. 🤟🏾
