Let me reintroduce myself, I am Tyler Gritten

I've always been into sports. I grew up competing in sports such as Drag Racing from 11 to 25 years old, soccer, football & most recently retired from competitive curling that I did for 19 years.

My history with exercise stems from training with personal trainers back in 2012 - 2013. Back then,I knew nothing about the fitness industry outside being a fitness consultant for a big box gym. It was here where I got injured while deadlifting & bench pressing. This motivated me to figure out why, and so I went to school and committed myself to those with no experience like myself to correctly lift weights without fear.

I graduated from Elevated Learning Academy in 2014 with a diploma in personal training.

Through my 10 years as a coach,i've added continuous education continuously over the last 10 years le rning from some of the industries top coaches. My biggest influences in coaching come from learning from industry leaders in applied biomechanics, movement & mobility & rehabilitation specialists.

In my career, I’ve found that almost every one of my clients struggles with some sort of chronic injury or recurrent pain that makes it difficult for them to achieve their goals. Physiotherapy alone isn’t always enough to give everyone lasting relief from their symptoms, if it even helps at all, and strength training is typically under utilized in the rehabilitation progress, leaving many people stuck perpetually seeking ongoing treatment rather than seeing meaningful results.

It is for these reasons I created GRITT Personal Training to help bridge the gap between joint pain & pain-free performance. Empowering my clients to live an active lifestyle with fluidity, strength & confidence . Having kept myself in more athletic performance shape for curling along with being a dad of two boys has taught me even more about needing to move well, be strong and pain free outside of my life of being a coach to my amazing clients.

Who am I?

I am Personal Trainer that has been in the industry for 6 years now. I have an incredible passion for seeing people achieve what they may deem impossible.

As a child, I grew up always being active. Playing such sports as soccer, football and my current and lifetime sport of curling. I injured myself several years ago in the gym not doing exercises correctly. I thought at this point- why don’t I make it my life to ensure this does not happen to anyone else? I went to school and got my Personal Training Diploma in which I also received my certification through the American Council of Exercise (ACE).

I coach my clients through 1-1 Private training sessions or Semi-Private Classes. Whether you are looking to lose body fat, gain muscle, move better in life or simply get more fit I program everything to your needs and wants moving down the best possible path I feel is the best “FIT” for you.

I program my clients on how the body moves best for situations in life & sport. I want everyone that I coach to become the most strong & stable people in the gym & outside so they can live life to the fullest & injury free.
