Ever watched a Boeing 737 landing and wondered why the pilot keeps moving the yoke? ✈️

Especially on approach, the aircraft is constantly being affected by wind, turbulence, and other small changes in its flight path. Pilots make continuous control inputs to correct for those changes and keep the aircraft properly aligned and stabilized.

What looks like a lot of movement from inside the cockpit can result in a very small and controlled response from the aircraft.

Next time you watch a cockpit landing video, keep an eye on the yoke—you might be surprised by how active it gets.

Letting my sister loose on a $25K motion racing simulator seemed like a good idea at the time. 😂🏎️

With full motion, you don't just see the crash—you definitely feel it too.

Would you trust your sibling behind the wheel?

“TERRAIN! PULL UP!” ⚠️✈️

Those unmistakable warnings are part of the Boeing 737’s Ground Proximity Warning System, or GPWS.

The system uses aircraft and flight data to recognize certain potentially hazardous situations involving terrain or proximity to the ground and provides pilots with clear visual and audible warnings.

It’s an important safety system—and one you definitely don’t want to hear unexpectedly during a real flight.

There’s just something about sim racing. 😍🏁

You sit down planning to run a few laps, then suddenly you’ve spent the whole session trying to find another tenth.

If you know, you know.

Ever heard an aircraft call out “TERRAIN,” “PULL UP,” or “DON’T SINK”? ✈️⚠️

Those warnings can come from the Ground Proximity Warning System, better known as GPWS. The system monitors several aircraft and flight parameters to help warn pilots when certain conditions indicate a potentially dangerous proximity to the ground.

Different situations can trigger different warnings, giving pilots an immediate and recognizable indication that something requires their attention.

It’s one of the many real-world aircraft systems that makes flight simulation so interesting to experience and learn about.

Flying into complete darkness is a different experience. 🌑✈️

With almost no visual references outside the cockpit, your instruments become a lot more important. It’s a great reminder of just how different night flying can feel compared to flying during the day.

Would you rather fly this approach at night or wait for daylight?

Is this a flight simulator or **Need for Speed**? 😂✈️

Someone apparently forgot they're flying a B737 and not driving a race car. At least the simulator is the perfect place to find out what happens when you get a little too adventurous.

Not every flight needs to be a challenge. ✈️😎

Sometimes you just set up the B737, get into cruise, and enjoy the flight. A pretty relaxing way to spend some time in the cockpit.

Come experience it for yourself at TraqLab inside West Edmonton Mall.

Going from PTFS to Prepar3D was one of the best upgrades we could have made. ✈️

It’s a completely different level of flight simulation, with more detailed aircraft systems, better procedures, and much more to learn in the cockpit.

If you started with PTFS or another simpler flight simulator, what did you eventually upgrade to?

What happens when you try combat-style maneuvers in a Boeing 737? ✈️😅

Airliners are built to carry passengers comfortably, not fly like fighter jets, but that's exactly why it's fun to see what happens in the simulator.

This time, we're putting the B737 through some very unconventional flying over Dubai. How long do you think the passengers would last? 😂
