Ever watched a Boeing 737 landing and wondered why the pilot keeps moving the yoke? ✈️
Especially on approach, the aircraft is constantly being affected by wind, turbulence, and other small changes in its flight path. Pilots make continuous control inputs to correct for those changes and keep the aircraft properly aligned and stabilized.
What looks like a lot of movement from inside the cockpit can result in a very small and controlled response from the aircraft.
Next time you watch a cockpit landing video, keep an eye on the yoke—you might be surprised by how active it gets.
