"I moved into a new home and really wanted to convert a garage bay into a home gym. I started shopping around, looking at what different companies offered and comparing prices and the quality of the equipment. I had tried building a smaller gym before, but used cheaper equipment and ultimately it left me pretty disappointed and didn't serve the purpose I had hoped it would. I'm pretty experienced in a gym and pretty strong, so the equipment had to not only match where I am today, but my fitness goals that I'm working towards.
I came across a posting on Marketplace for B4RN Fitness and really liked what I saw in the pictures, so I contacted them and spoke to Justin. I told him what I was looking for and my interest in some of his equipment. He said I could come by his personal gym and check out the equipment. His gym was impressive. His equipment was very impressive. I had a lot of questions and he answered them all. He's a gym guy himself and really knows his stuff. He wasn't pushy, he was honest, and overall just a real solid guy to deal with. It was a great experience, but I still didn't purchase anything. He gave me a quote for my order, but was not pushy and at no point pressured me. I explained to him that I was still kicking tires at the idea of other companies and still needed time to fully plan my gym.
A few months later, I called him and said I was ready to go ahead with the order that we discussed. I bought 5-100lbs in urethane dumbbells, a rack for them, the Bronco half-rack w/pulleys, 4x45/2x25/2x10/2x5 urethane weight plates, a bench, landmine attachment, spotter arms, an olympic barbell, straight bar, and EZ curl bar. I BOUGHT A LOT. I was able to pick it up from his Edmonton warehouse in my truck, which saved me thousands in shipping that other companies were going to charge. It took a couple of trips, but I got it all home and was able to build it myself. Everything was well packed, nothing was damaged, and every piece (screw, nut, bolt, etc) was there. Most importantly there was no surprises or disappointments. I got exactly what I wanted.
B4RN Fitness is the foundation of my gym. The equipment is that good. Every piece was clearly thought out by a person (Justin) that really loves the gym and understands that the little things matter. Any inconvenience, cheap material, poor design, adds up and takes away from your workouts. You want to be proud of your gym. You want to be excited to go in there and put in the work. I'm a 6'4 245lb man. I need tough equipment that holds up. I need equipment that is stable and secure. I need equipment that's strong enough to follow me on my way to my goals. B4RN Fitness does that.
I don't leave reviews, but I made a point of leaving one for this company cause I really do like what they're doing and my experience with them has been amazing. Their equipment is commercial grade. Their prices are fair. Their service was exceptional. I got exactly what I paid for and couldn't be happier. I'm sure I'll be checking in and grabbing a few more things in the future.
