Summer League in Cornwall 🏀🎉
CUCBA President Denis Andre, “We are so proud to support the great job Jacob and his team are doing for this community bringing more basketball and fun with ages ranging 16 and over. It’s a pleasure to watch, not only do the players have fun and laugh but they get to be competitive and keep happy and healthy with the exercise all while playing the game we love”
Jacob Nimene added - “For me, this is important because basketball creates an outlet for young men to feel safe, comfortable, and connected. Some of these guys may know each other, some may not, but for a few hours they are brought together by an orange ball and a shared love for the game.
Working in the school system, I see firsthand the difference it makes when young people are active, involved, and part of something positive. I do not believe that impact is limited to students. Men need spaces like this too. Spaces where they can compete, build friendships, stay active, and feel like they belong”
