Good morning,

In accordance with the by-laws of the Cochrane Minor Ball Association, notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of the Association will be held as follows:

Meeting Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2026
Meeting Time: 7:00 PM
Location: Hillside Room @ SLS Centre

Please be sure to attend the meeting if you are looking to get involved or would like to discuss any of the programs within CMB. We are currently looking to fill the roles of a fundraising coordinator and a softball coordinator for the U11 and U13 house softball divisions. If you have questions about either of these roles and would like further information, please reply to this email.

There will also be an information session following the AGM for parents/players interested in the competitive Baseball Alberta program for players in 11U, 13U, 15U and 18U (birth years 2017-2009). This is your opportunity to come out and learn and understand how the competitive program works and the plans for the 2027 season.

Congratulations to Maeve Maguire!! She is a Cochrane Crush alum winning 3 provincial titles while in the Little League summer baseball program, silver medalist at the Baseball Alberta level in both 13UAAA and 15UAAA and was able to also compete at a national level for the female Baseball Alberta Bighorns!! Your attitude, effort and focus has been a driving force in the game and your leadership will continue to take you to new levels! Keep crushing it Maeve 🧡 CMB is proud of you!!

Cochrane’s Maeve Maguire is continuing a ball journey that began with the Cochrane Crush.

The 19-year-old has gone on to play in several national championships in baseball and softball, spent a year playing at Mount Royal University, and is now headed to Williston State College in North Dakota.

🚨🥈 Congratulations to the Cochrane Crush 11UAA on their silver medal this past weekend at provincials in Red Deer! A hard fought battle to the end! Thank you to head coach Tyson Banker and OFM Carla Keeping for their hard work and dedication to this team all season! It was an absolute pleasure watching the players develop this season 🧡⚾️

Exciting opportunity for Softball enthusiasts! The U17 Woman's Fastpitch Canadian Championship is being held in Calgary this year from July 28th- August 2 at Shouldice Athletic Park. They are looking for volunteers to help create a wonderful experience for the 400+ players and coaches coming from across the country! This is an terrific opportunity to support the softball community and catch some exceptional ball, simultaneously!

That's a wrap on the 2026 season for our CMSA teams! In their inaugural year wearing the Royals brand, these teams did not disappoint. Today saw BOTH our U13 and U15 Div 2 teams take home GOLD in City Championships. Last week, our other two U15 teams also ended their seasons with 2nd and 3rd place City Championship finishes in their respective tiers.

A huge congratulations to all our CMSA athletes on an amazing season! We are so proud of how you represented Cochrane - with heart, sportsmanship, determination, and a never-quit attitude. It has been so much fun watching you on the diamonds!
