For the grading Wednesday May 13th,it will be at the Veteran Center so the regular class for the white and yellow belts is canceled so that we can have the grading instead. Results will be given at Sunday class.Grading is closed to parents so drop of the kid and wait for them and after they are finished they will come out .I set up different times for the grading so that there isn’t too much distraction, when you come in go down in the back and practice until it’s your turn and if u do want to come in a bit earlier to practice that’s ok too but go in the back and practice and be quiet.

5:40-6:00. 6:00-6:30. 6:30-7:15

So try to be there a bit before the scheduled time just in case I’m done a bit earlier .Payments for the gradings can be done on Thursdayor Sunday.Thank you Bartlett Sensei

I wanted to make a “special recognition “ to 2 of our younger students who had competed in our In House tournament.I’m proud of all my students for all accomplishments, for some it come easy ,some like Kumite and are good in it and others don’t like it and aren’t as good in it but the main thing is showing up and doing your best that’s called Sportsmanship. Both boys showed up did kumite ,they don’t have much experience in it,but fought the best they could and didn’t give up didn’t matter if they lost ,did shed a bit of tears but continued, and this made me more proud then anything else and neither one really likes Kumite.Thank you and special recognition to Leo Robicheau and Josh Singh.I did tell Leo last class but will let Josh know next class.Bartlett Sensei

Remember grading is Wednesday May 13th at the Veterans Center,I will post the names of the students going for grading,I did look at some of the students but they aren’t ready yet ,there’s still 2 more classes for practice,I know some think they are ready but to go for a grading you need to know all your stuff perfectly and there’s still some that are going to fast and some aren’t doing there kicks properly, remember just lifting your leg ,isn’t proper technique.Plus doing your techniques have to be done correctly all the time not just during the time you’re being graded. If anyone is having difficulty,I don’t mind helping,I’m at the dojos half an hour before class to set up and I can stay later at the end,the parents can set up and put the stuff away if anyone needs extra help, all that I ask is not to waste my time by not listening to what I’m explaining to u of what I want u to fix up.Thank you Bartlett Sensei

Ok the next 2 classes we will spend on getting ready for upcoming grading,I do have a few names that are going for grading but if there is anyone that feels they are ready let me know, I will check u out, remember too u have to do the work too and practice at home and work on the things I tell u to fix up ,some of u still are doing the same mistakes I told u too fix,I can only do so much to help u the rest is up to u,I don’t mind spending time and helping those ones that are really having difficulty with stuff,I’m at class a half hour early to set up I don’t mind if someone comes in at that time that needs help.I would like to do the grading on May 13th at the Veteran Center that way we don’t have to cancel out any other classes. Also let me know who will be participating in the Yarmouth Tournament so we can work on that too and maybe get some teams done up.And if you’re doing Kumite for the tournament then you can get extra practice for that.Remember I am proud of all of u when you compete win or lose.Next Sunday May 3rd class is canceled, then May6th we start our first class at the Veteran Center.See u tonight Sensei Bartlett

What an awesome tournament today!! Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way.Thank u to Sensei Deveau for putting on an awesome Kumite clinic,we had a great turnout for the clinic and the tournament. Thanks also to to the Digby crew for participating,it’s nice to have different people to compete against,I hope they had as much as we did .Always remember it’s not always about winning,it’s about doing your best and having fun and getting better for the next time, and also believing in yourself that you really can achieve anything if u work at it.We now have to get ready for upcoming grading and the Yarmouth tournament.See you tomorrow Bartlett Sensei
