Calling all Broken Goat runners – join Jen .nap.repeat and Trevor on an 18km summit run/hike of Mt Plewman, Saturday July 5 @ 8:00am starting at Nancy Greene Summit (Strawberry Pass) parking lot. The run follows the Broken Goat route for the 25&50k distances to the top of Plewman. Come prepared for 850m of elevation in the first 9k! Pace will be roughly 10:30min/km and take ~3.5 hours. It is strongly recommended you bring the mandatory race gear with you due to sudden weather changes and remoteness of the route. Please carpool if possible. Join them for a picnic and to dip your bits in Nancy Greene Lake after the run (BYOF/B). DM .nap.repeat with questions. All are welcome. See you there!

As we have so many new runners joining the group, the following is a little Monday morning admin about dogs! Dogs are one of the best parts about RRC, however, there are some rules around bringing your furry friend.
1. Most importantly you must be able to keep your dog under control at all times this is for the safety of other runners, but also for the safety of your dog.
2. Aggressive/reactive dogs are not tolerated. Please run your dog earlier or choose to leave them at home.
3. Unskilled at running in a group: if your dog enjoys stopping in the middle of the trail disrupting the flow of the run, getting underfoot or is generally a nuisance to the group please re-evaluate bringing them to RRC. You can mitigate this by keeping them on a leash or using an alternative form of control that your dog has been trained with and responds to. The safety and enjoyment of our runners is paramount.
4. RRC is not a place to “socialize” your dog.
5. Please leash your dog when we run on roads- this is a bylaw from the city and as an organized group, we must respect this.

Ultimately, we love good dogs, but we do not love ones that are distracting from the group run experience. If you think this may be you and your dog, please DM me privately and we can discuss.
