Hear me out before you get defensive:
I am VERY protective over postpartum moms and how they see themselves and how they feel in their bodies. So this would be a wildly different take if she had been labeled by Victoria’s Secret, or self-labeled, as “the ideal postpartum body,” but she wasn’t. Nor did she walk the runway in a top that showed her belly (just her 🥛jugs!!)
She’s a supermodel, walking the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, who happens to be 6 weeks postpartum. I think, if anything, we should be inspired by that!!!! Life doesn’t stop, our dreams don’t have to be crushed, when we become moms!
She, and only she, knows how she feels in her body. AND for all we know, she finished the show and promptly put her diaper and nursing bra right back on 😂
You can absolutely disagree with me, but I don’t think it’s fair to be tearing down a new mom for what HER body looks like at 6 weeks postpartum 💕 No postpartum body, journey, recovery, experience is the same. Let’s practice acknowledging that her appearance isn’t what most moms experience (hell, neither is being a supermodel 🤪), WITHOUT making her body and journey any less valid.
