Country Hills is a private, member-owned golf club, set in the spectacular hillside of the Sandstone Valley in Calgary, Alberta. The two courses at Country Hills provide distinctly different and exciting golf experiences. The Talons course was the first Tom McBroom design in Alberta. It features five lakes and the meandering West Nose Creek, which adds beauty and intrigue to your shot making strat

egies. Renovations in 2010 meant six new greens, some changes to the layout, and great improvements made to the bunkering. A challenging track, you will want to play it again and again to master its subtleties. The Ridge course was designed by Dave Bennett, and begins high atop scenic cliffs with spectacular views of the city of Calgary. The lower nine is set in a valley; influenced by the rising cliffs and the winding Nose Creek. Your game will be challenged, especially if the winds are blowing!

🌼Summer Gardening Tips🌼

August in the garden means the daily routine of water, w**d, fertilize, deadhead… repeat!🌱💦 But there are plenty of other fun and productive things to do this time of year.

🌻 Keep sowing food crops and sunflowers. Look for varieties that mature in 50–60 days.
🥕 Harvest vegetables often to encourage a longer, more productive harvest.
🌿 Dry and freeze herbs now for a winter stockpile. Regular harvesting will also help keep them producing through the rest of summer. Compound butter, anyone?
🌸 Divide and replant perennials as temperatures begin to cool off in mid-August.

📸 Take lots of photos! They’ll be a handy reference when it’s time to plan next year’s garden in the spring.

Enjoy these late-summer days and make the most of everything your garden has to offer!🌻

🚨ALBATROSS ALERT! 🦅🦅

An incredible moment on the course!

Congratulations to Richard Elms better know around the Club as Ritz, on making an albatross on Talons #2 during a Men’s Doubles match on July 23.

From 229 yards out, Richard hit a perfectly struck 5-wood with a high fade that landed just 8 feet short of the pin before rolling straight into the cup for an unforgettable 2 on a par 5. 🤯⛳

Shots like this are incredibly rare, and even more special to witness. Congratulations, Richard, on an amazing achievement!👌🏼
