Still looking for a winter sport? Come see what ringette is all about!

Our final FREE Come Try Ringette of 2026 is coming up September 19 in High River. It’s a great chance for new players to get on the ice, learn the basics and experience just how fast, fun and team-focused ringette can be.

Evaluations are coming — and we want players and families to know what to expect before they step on the ice. 💚💛

As part of our commitment to a clear and transparent evaluation process, FRA has posted the evaluation drills and scoring matrix on our website.

Players and parents can review the drills ahead of time, see which skills are being assessed, and understand the criteria our evaluators will be using.

The goal isn’t to “study for the test” — it’s to take away some of the unknowns and help players arrive feeling prepared and ready to do their best.

NEW FOR 2026–27 | Tournament Allocation System

Ringette Alberta has introduced a new Tournament Allocation System for the upcoming season, designed to support a fairer and more equitable distribution of tournament opportunities for teams across Alberta.

We encourage FRA coaches, managers and families to familiarize themselves with the new process.

EVALUATIONS ARE COMING UP! 💚💛

A few important reminders for FRA families as we get ready for evaluations:

CHECK YOUR EMAIL!
Evaluation schedules have now been emailed to families through RAMP. If you don’t see yours, please check your spam or junk folder — RAMP emails occasionally like to hide in there!

🙋‍♀️ WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!
We still have lots of on-ice and off-ice volunteer positions to fill to help evaluations run smoothly.

If you’re able to help, head to the Volunteer tab on the FRA website to see the available shifts and sign up. It's also a great opportunity to get a head start on your volunteer commitment for the season!

Want to know what to expect at evaluations?
Evaluation information and drills are available on the FRA website so players can check them out ahead of time.
