The NAPHL is one of North America’s premier prep hockey development leagues, built specifically for players aged 14–18 who are serious about reaching the next level. Whether that’s the WHL, AJHL, BCHL, NCAA, or U-Sports, the NAPHL is the league that gets players seen.

Here’s how it works:

🏒 Practice-first development — a minimum of 4–5 on and off-ice sessions per week at our home facility at HDC Calgary

🗓️ 6 national showcase tournaments — 4 games per event, with junior and university scouts in attendance from across North America

🌎 Coast-to-coast competition — games in Ontario, Quebec, the West Coast, and East Coast, giving your son exposure he simply can’t get staying local

📚 Academics always first — our schedule is built around your family, not the other way around

We’re not here to just put your kid on the ice and count games. We’re here to develop him as a player and as a person until he’s ready to make the jump to junior hockey at 18.

This program is open to players born 2008–2013 (U14, U16, and U18).

HC Calgary Bandits are proud to announce we’re joining the North American Prep Hockey League (NAPHL) for the 2026–27 season and we want to explain exactly what that means for your family.

Bergen is born and raised in Calgary where she competed with the McKnight Mustangs and the U18 AA in Lethbridge.

Bergen went on to win 2 titles in the American Collegiate Hockey Association in the USA.
