I heard the expression/saying,
“You had my curiosity, now you have my attention.”

Meaning that what once was started as intriguing, has now grown to be taken seriously.

We are currently travelling through Belfast Ireland, working on research for 1) our own bar, 2) to learn how to improve and promote our own Blind Ambition Whisky and 3) research for a book I’ve been wanting to write for a few years now.

This video here, checks off a massive bucket list experience for me!

We were invited to be given a private after hours whisky tasting by Jim himself, from Friend at Hand.

Jim has forgotten more about whiskey than most will ever dream to know. He runs this amazing museum of palace in the heart of Belfast where he has the largest Irish whisky collection and by far the most valuable.

He also boasts the claim to having the most expensive and rarest Irish whisky bottles in the world. Some of these are the last ones in the world and easily exceed $130,000 for one bottle.

Not to mention he’s a super chill dude who has also worked/been on Game of Thrones and other hit shows and movies based out of Ireland.

Jim was very appreciative of our understanding and passion for whisky and the ability to, “nerd out” on the subject and deep dive the origins of many of these great bottles of this water of life.

This collection/museum is like non other on this planet. In watching this, you’ll get a small snippet of what we got blessed to see and learn.

Like RIVERBOWL, like Blind Ambition and now like this book I’m working on, it all starts out of passion! A passion to make the most out of my days and to go find and build and create. You never know where or who it will lead to!

So stay tuned if you will, this has been an amazing adventure and the journey isn’t close to being over yet!

Researching Dublin & Belfast, it’s an honour to me seeing how well received our own Blind Ambition Whisky is doing.

Not to be taken lightly, every decision and forthought that goes into preparing and then distilling whisky is critical to the ultimate test…you the drinker!

No two taste buds are alike. Everyone has their own preferences and ideas on how whisky should taste.

So for so many of you amazing people to sit back, kick up your feet, or belly up to our bar and have a shot and still have these smiles on your faces afterwards means everything!

Some don’t get it, most love it, and many are waiting to find out still.

Gryphon has only been here a week but already she is fitting in like family!

This is the best team a business could ask for!

Running a small business comes with challenges. Thankfully, staffing isn’t one of them for us.

After another busy week, we all went over to for some amazing brisket and pulled pork to fuel our minds during our staff meeting back home.

Food was amazing (always is) as well as our discussions on how to continue to grow RIVERBOWL.

Improving on our weaknesses and strengthening our strengths! Ideas are free, it’s just about cultivating an atmosphere to grow those ideas into reality and into success!

We ask a lot of our staff and they continue to exceed expectations!

Sometimes these stories just write themselves…

Bachelorette parties are no stranger to us. We host multiple ones every year.
Bachelor parties are also no stranger to us. We host multiple ones yearly as well.

Here’s where it gets cool!

This is the FIRST time we have hosted a bachelorette party AS WELL as a bachelor party simultaneously on the same night for two different weddings.

What are the odds!

These are the circumstances that just make everyone smile!

There’s never a dull moment here. Between our bar, bowling and live music, we are blessed to meet and host so many once in a lifetime events!
We’ve been saying it for years, and this is just more proof, YOU BELONG HERE

We wish nothing but years of happiness for the bride to be and the groom to be on their upcoming big days!

Well that wraps up another Comedy Night and another Live Music Concert on back to back nights.

This isn’t the city (thankfully) There is not a lot of options for going out with friends. Especially locally.

After each event we host is finished and we can take time to reflect and post on the pictures we took. It’s always gratifying seeing how happy everyone is. Seeing friends gathered. Seeing life being lived.
(Remember Covid? …We do)

Our style is our own. Unique, fun, bright and sensory overload. We’re proud of it and love sharing it daily with anyone who chooses to join us here at RIVERBOWL

Our staff is amazing and they work hard to continue to bring the best service we can!

Each day is a day to be grateful.
