Bienvenue à Benjamin Colbert (2007) dans la famille du Lightning Chaleur! ⚡️

Originaire de Beloeil, QC, Benjamin se joint aux Bolts après avoir évolué la saison dernière avec les Griffons du Cégep de l’Outaouais dans la QCHL, après avoir disputé les deux saisons précédentes dans le circuit QM18AAA.

Benjamin a également été sélectionné au 7e tour du repêchage 2023 de la LHJMQ par les Foreurs de Val-d’Or.

Gardien calme et posé, Benjamin se démarque par son excellent suivi de la rondelle ainsi que par sa capacité à demeurer composé dans son demi-cercle. Son style de jeu donne constamment à son équipe une chance de remporter le match.

Son éthique de travail et son engagement envers son développement font de lui un jeune gardien très prometteur. Welcome Benjamin Colbert (2007) to the Chaleur Lightning family! ⚡️

From Beloeil, QC, Benjamin joins the Bolts after playing last season with the Cégep Outaouais Griffons in the QCHL following two seasons in the QM18AAA.

Benjamin was also selected in the 7th round of the 2023 QMJHL Entry Draft by the Val-d’Or Foreurs.

A calm and composed goaltender, Benjamin stands out with his strong puck tracking and ability to stay composed in the crease, consistently giving his team a chance to win.

Le Club de hockey Lightning Chaleur est fier d’annoncer la signature de l’attaquant Thomas Côté (2008) de Québec, Québec.

Thomas se joint au Lightning après avoir évolué lors des deux dernières saisons avec les Élites de Jonquière du circuit QM18AAA. Cette saison, il s’est classé au 5e rang des pointeurs et au 9e rang des buteurs de toute la ligue, démontrant son talent offensif parmi les meilleurs joueurs du circuit.

Thomas a également été sélectionné au 9e tour du repêchage 2024 de la LHJMQ par les Mooseheads d’Halifax.

Joueur offensif élite doté d’un très haut quotient hockey, Thomas possède les habiletés, la créativité et l’intelligence de jeu pour avoir un impact immédiat et devenir rapidement un favori des partisans au Centre régional K.C. Irving.

« Nous sommes extrêmement heureux d’ajouter Thomas à notre programme. Il va très bien s’intégrer à notre groupe d’attaquants. The Chaleur Lightning Hockey Club is proud to announce the signing of forward Thomas Cote (2008) from Quebec City, Quebec.

Thomas joins the Lightning after spending the last two seasons with the Jonquière Élites of the QM18AAA. This season, he finished 5th in league scoring and 9th in goals across the entire league, establishing himself as one of the premier offensive talents in the circuit.

Thomas was also selected in the 9th round of the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft by the Halifax Mooseheads.

An elite offensive forward with a high hockey IQ, Thomas brings skill, creativity and strong offensive instincts that should allow him to make an immediate impact and quickly become a fan favourite at the K.C. Irving Centre.

His high hockey IQ and gifted offensive abilities combined with a willingness to compete and battle make him a huge signing here for us in Chaleur. Le Club de hockey Lightning Chaleur est fier d’annoncer la signature du défenseur droitier Louis Dumoulin (2006) de St-Cyrille-de-Wendover, Québec.

Louis se joint au Lightning après avoir complété sa carrière collégiale avec les Rebelles de Sorel-Tracy de la QCHL. Lors des dernières séries éliminatoires, il a mené son équipe au chapitre du temps de glace, étant utilisé plus de 20 minutes par match.

Défenseur agressif sur la rondelle, Louis apporte un jeu complet à chaque présence. Même s’il n’est pas le plus imposant physiquement, il joue avec intensité, compétition et n’hésite jamais à s’engager physiquement. Sa façon de jouer lui permet d’avoir un impact dans toutes les zones de la patinoire.

The Chaleur Lightning Hockey Club is proud to announce the signing of right-shot defenceman Louis Dumoulin (2006) from St-Cyrille-de-Wendover, Quebec.

Louis joins the Lightning after completing his Cegep career with the Sorel-Tracy Rebelles of the QCHL. During the playoffs, he led the team in ice time, averaging more than 20 minutes per game.

An aggressive-on-the-puck defender, Louis brings a complete game every time he steps on the ice. While not the biggest defenceman, he competes hard, plays with an edge and embraces the physical side of the game. His style allows him to make an impact in all three zones.

“Louis is a hard-working, disciplined hockey player who is highly committed to developing his game. He demonstrates a strong understanding of the game, makes thoughtful decisions, and contributes effectively in all three zones. We are very glad to have him on board with the Lightning Chaleur.”

Le Club de hockey Lightning Chaleur est fier d’annoncer la signature du défenseur droitier Emrik Drolet (2008) de Québec, Québec.

Emrik se joint au Lightning après avoir complété sa carrière M18 AAA avec les Élites de Jonquière. Défenseur offensif doté d’un excellent coup de patin, il s’est particulièrement démarqué en séries éliminatoires où il a mené tous les défenseurs de son équipe avec 8 points en seulement 5 matchs.

Emrik a également été sélectionné au 10e tour du repêchage 2024 de la LHJMQ par les Remparts de Québec.

Reconnu pour sa mobilité, son jeu de pieds et sa capacité à créer de l’espace, Emrik possède aussi une excellente première passe et projette comme un défenseur complet capable d’avoir un impact dans les deux sens de la patinoire.

« La capacité d’Emrik à patiner et à utiliser ses appuis pour créer de l’espace et générer des occasions pour ses coéquipiers sera extrêmement utile pour Frankie et le personnel d’entraîneurs. Nous croyons qu’Emrik deviendra un défenseur d’impact pour nous, capable d’aider à relancer l’attaque et à mettre de la pression sur nos adversaires.

Le Club de hockey Lightning Chaleur est fier d’annoncer la signature de l’attaquant Malcom Dumont (2007) de Lévis, Québec.

Malcom se joint au Lightning après avoir complété sa deuxième saison avec les Lions de Champlain St. Lawrence de la QCHL. Pendant son passage avec l’équipe, celle-ci a remporté deux championnats consécutifs.

Déjà reconnu pour son développement et ses performances, Malcom a été nommé recrue de l’année de la QCHL en 2024–2025 et a également été choisi sur la 2e équipe d’étoiles cette saison. Il avait aussi été sélectionné au 12e tour du repêchage 2023 de la LHJMQ par les Voltigeurs de Drummondville.

« Malcom est un joueur intelligent et travaillant qui est pleinement engagé envers le succès de son équipe. Il se démarque par son sens du hockey, sa vision du jeu et sa capacité à prendre de bonnes décisions sous pression.

Son éthique de travail exemplaire lui permet de constamment progresser et d’avoir un impact positif autant à l’entraînement qu’en match. Joueur polyvalent, Malcom démontre une excellente compréhension du jeu autant offensivement que défensivement et gagne la confiance de ses entraîneurs et coéquipiers dans toutes les situations.

Son attitude positive, son esprit d’équipe et son désir constant de s’améliorer font de lui un leader respecté dans le vestiaire. Nous avons très hâte de commencer à travailler avec lui et de l’accueillir dans la région Chaleur. »

The Chaleur Lightning Hockey Club is proud to announce the signing of forward Malcom Dumont (2007) from Lévis, Quebec.

Malcom joins the Lightning after completing his second season with the Champlain St. Lawrence Lions of the QCHL. During his time with the program, his team captured two consecutive league championships.

Already recognized for his strong development and performance, Malcom was named the QCHL Rookie of the Year in 2024–2025 and earned Second Team All-Star honours this past season. He was also selected in the 12th round of the 2023 QMJHL Entry Draft by the Drummondville Voltigeurs.

“Malcom is an intelligent, hardworking hockey player who is fully committed to his team’s success. He stands out for his hockey sense, vision on the ice, and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

His work ethic allows him to continually improve and make a positive impact both in practices and games. Malcom is a versatile player who understands the game on both sides of the puck and can be trusted in all situations.

His positive attitude, team-first mentality, and constant desire to improve make him a respected leader in the dressing room. We’re very excited to start working with him and to welcome him to Chaleur.”
