As we come to the close of this important occasion, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has joined us today to celebrate this partnership and what it continues to mean for women's football in Botswana.
Firstly, I would like to thank DTC Botswana for their unwavering support and belief in the potential of women and girls in football. Your investment has been more than financial support; it has been an investment in dreams, opportunities, confidence, and the future of many young women across our country.
The growth of women's football that we see today did not happen overnight. It has been built through commitment, collaboration, and partnerships such as this one. Together, we have expanded opportunities for participation, strengthened our structures, increased visibility for the women's game, and achieved a historic milestone through the establishment of Botswana's first professional women's football league.
For many young girls, football is no longer just a dream. It is becoming a pathway to personal growth, education, leadership, and professional opportunity. That is the true impact of partnerships such as this one.
As Chairperson of the National Women's Football Committee, I wish to assure all our stakeholders that we remain committed to building on the progress we have made and ensuring that every investment into women's football delivers meaningful and lasting impact.
To DTC Botswana, thank you for walking this journey with us. To the Botswana Football Association leadership, our clubs, players, coaches, referees, administrators, volunteers, and supporters, thank you for your continued dedication to the growth of the women's game. When the history of women's football in Botswana is written, DTC Botswana will be remembered as one of the partners that helped turn possibility into reality.
The future of women's football in Botswana is bright, and together we will continue to create opportunities, inspire excellence, and empower generations to come.
