That deep muscle burn happens when your muscles stay under tension for a longer period of time. During slow, controlled movements, your body starts producing ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ and ๐—ต๐˜†๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€ faster than it can clear them.

A class I specifically designed based on 15 years of experience in strength training, Pilates, and understanding the female body.

We use the fundamentals of Pilates: posture, breath, control and balance, combined with weights between 2 & 12 kg to build real strength in 50 minutes.

No Body Pump.
No fast, messy reps.

Instead: slow, controlled movements that truly reshape the body and build muscle intelligently.

We work on a balanced combination of lower body, upper body and core strength.

For me, this is the ultimate combo with Reformer Pilates, my personal secret formula for more than 15 years, and finally more women are understanding why it works so well.

Most women think they need:
more cardio,
more squats,
more intense workoutsโ€ฆ

But often, the glutes are simply not doing the job.
The lower back, hips and legs take over instead.

Thatโ€™s why at The Hundred we focus so much on slow, controlled movement.

Because the moment you truly feel your glutes working:

Most women donโ€™t have a motivation problem.
Theyโ€™ve simply never been trained hard enough to change.

After 10+ years teaching Pilates,
Iโ€™ve noticed something uncomfortable:

A lot of women trainโ€ฆ
without ever truly challenging their body.

They move.
They sweat.
They burn calories.

But their muscles?
Rarely asked to adapt.

Because somewhere along the way,
women were taught that:
โ€œtonedโ€ should stay light,
small,
controlled,
inoffensive.

So they spend years doing endless reps, tiny dumbbells, constant cardio,
and calling exhaustion โ€œresults.โ€ ๐Ÿซจ

Meanwhile the female body is actually craving:
more resistance,

more mechanical tension.

Do you still feel like you need to think about strength trainingโ€ฆ or are you still hesitating despite all the noise on social media?

I often get the question: โ€œDonโ€™t we do strength training at The Hundred?โ€

In a contemporary reformer class, weโ€™re obviously not picking up 5kg dumbbells and doing sets of bicep curls.
But that doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re not getting stronger.
At The Hundred, we work deeply on your core strength, muscle definition, and muscle endurance.

Yes, you improve your balance, flexibility, and posture, but you also feel and see that youโ€™re getting stronger. And youโ€™ll notice it yourselfโ€ฆ in the mirror ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Itโ€™s simply a different approach: during those 50 minutes, we combine strength with mobility, stretch, and alignment.

If you add just 2 short strength sessions per week (15โ€“30 min, nothing complicated), you give your body an extra boost thatโ€™s purely focused on muscle building and thatโ€™s one of the most powerful ways to improve your bone density.

And the best part? You can easily do this at home, as a morning routine or during the weekend. Just two weights and a few basic exercises.
