Workshop trail running technique: After a long time-out, finally some first professional activity. Can you see movements that can be improved? (We do)
In stead of the just running on trails and waiting for things to happen, we create things to happen. Your nervous system learns a lot more when you are focused on technique and when you repeat a movement several times in a short time. If you repeat a new movement, like a tennis forehand, 100 times on 30 minutes, your neuromuscular system will remember the movement. If you do those 100 forehands spread over 3 weeks time, your neuromuscular system won't remember anything.
Your ankle and sensoric system will react better and learn more if you put focus on it, for example with this coordination exercise with hoola hoops exactly on the roots.
Foot placement, dynamic stability, movement control, we train so much things here. Even a slalom on a downhill where runners form the slalom, eventually standing on one leg (balance).
