Non-profit organization for the traditional Japanese martial arts of Kendo, Jodo and Iaido in Europe.

The European Kendo Federation (EKF) is the overall non profit organization for the traditional Japanese martial arts of Kendo, Jodo and Iaido with more than 40 member countries in Europe. We organize competitions, seminars and gradings, maintain a European Dan Register and support contacts between our members. Most of the members of the European Kendo Federation are also members of the International Kendo Federation (FIK).

Hello, European Kenshi!
Do you know EKF Code of Conduct?
You can read it in the Document section of EKF website (and in the comment below!).

Each member federation is invited to name a Code of Conduct Officer (CoCO) who can be a confidential point of reference for all kenshi in the country and who can help in case of bullying, discrimination, harassment, according to national laws.

You all are invited to inform yourselves about this important role within your federation.
Get to know who is your CoCO!
If your federation still has no CoCO, this is the time to ask for it !

The pre-entry for the Nihon Kendo Kata European Championship is OPEN!
All kenshi interested in taking part in Ravenna on April 17th &18th, 2027 should contact their Federation, which is in charge of entering the number of participants PER CATEGORY.
Actual names of participants, grouped in pairs, will be required by the final entry next year.
