Exposition des véhicules dans la grand-rue de Bastogne : tous les collectionneurs sont les bienvenus !

Initiée lors de l’édition 2025 de la Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes, la première organisée par le Royal Automobile Club de Spa, l'exposition des véhicules participants dans la grand-rue de Bastogne le dimanche après-midi constitue l’un des attraits majeurs de l’événement. L’occasion d’exhiber autos et motos au retour de la seconde étape, mais aussi, pour le public du centre-ville, essentiellement constitué de touristes, de découvrir ce patrimoine exceptionnel sur deux et quatre roues.
Ce dimanche 9 août, les organisateurs vont poursuivre le développement du concept ! Non seulement, dès 14h00, les participants iront de nouveau ranger leurs véhicules dans la rue commerçante, après être repassés par la Place McAuliffe, mais ils seront rejoints par… tout propriétaire d’ancienne – auto comme moto – qui souhaite se joindre à cette exposition toujours plus spectaculaire !
Comme pour la Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes, seuls les véhicules pré-1976 sont acceptés, histoire de garantir l’homogénéité du plateau.
Les collectionneurs intéressés peuvent dès la fin de la matinée se retrouver sur la Place Patton, où seront rassemblés les véhicules. Le droit de participation, modique, a été fixé à 10 euros, en échange du programme officiel et d’un accès au Drivers’ Club. Chaque conducteur se verra remettre un bracelet officiel qui lui permettra, dès 14h00, de passer par la Place McAuliffe et l’arche de départ/arrivée avant de gagner la grand-rue.
Les participants du Circuit des Ardennes seront rangés d’un côté de la chaussée, les collectionneurs prenant part aux seules réjouissances du dimanche après-midi de l’autre côté. Ce qui aura pour effet d’encore gonfler le panel de véhicules présentés.
Aucune inscription ne sera prise à l’avance, rendez-vous dimanche sur la Place Patton pour s’acquérir du modique droit de participation et officialiser votre présence et celle de votre auto ou moto à l’exposition.
C’est sur le coup de 16h30 que la Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes 2026, et donc l’exposition, prendra fin, la chaussée étant rendue à la circulation…

Tentoonstelling van historische voertuigen in de winkelstraat van Bastenaken: alle verzamelaars welkom!

Een van de nieuwigheden van de editie 2025 van de Ardennen Circuit Herdenking, de eerste georganiseerd door de Royal Automobile Club de Spa, was de tentoonstelling van de deelnemende voertuigen in de winkelstraat van Bastenaken op zondagmiddag. Deze activiteit groeide meteen uit tot een van de grote publiekstrekkers van het evenement. Het bood de deelnemers de kans hun auto's en motoren na afloop van de tweede etappe tentoon te stellen, terwijl bezoekers in het stadscentrum uitzonderlijk historisch erfgoed op twee en vier wielen konden bewonderen.
Op zondag 9 augustus breiden de organisatoren dit concept verder uit. Vanaf 14.00 uur stellen de deelnemers opnieuw hun voertuigen tentoon in de winkelstraat, nadat ze eerst over de McAuliffe Square zijn gereden. Dit keer krijgen ze echter gezelschap van alle eigenaars van historische auto's en motorfietsen die graag aan deze tentoonstelling willen deelnemen.
Net als bij de Ardennen Circuit Herdenking zelf worden uitsluitend voertuigen toegelaten die gebouwd zijn vóór 1976, zodat het historische karakter van de tentoonstelling behouden blijft.
Geïnteresseerde verzamelaars worden gevraagd zich tegen het einde van de voormiddag aan te melden op de Place Patton, waar hun voertuig aan de deelnemersstoet wordt toegevoegd. Het inschrijvingsgeld bedraagt 10 euro en omvat een officieel programmaboek en toegang tot de Drivers' Club. De bestuurder ontvangt bovendien een officiële polsband. Om 14.00 uur rijdt de stoet via de McAuliffe Square, onder de start- en aankomstboog door, richting winkelstraat.
Terwijl de deelnemers aan de Ardennen Circuit Herdenking langs één zijde van de straat opgesteld staan, krijgen de verzamelaars een plaats aan de overzijde. Zo ontstaat een nog indrukwekkender en gevarieerder geheel van historische voertuigen.
Vooraf inschrijven is niet nodig. Het volstaat om zich op zondag 9 augustus tijdig aan te melden op de Place Patton, het deelnamegeld te betalen en de aanwezigheid van uzelf en uw voertuig te bevestigen.
Om 16.30 uur, na de officiële prijsuitreiking van de Ardennen Circuit Herdenking 2026, wordt de tentoonstelling beëindigd en wordt de winkelstraat opnieuw opengesteld voor het verkeer.

Vehicle Display in Bastogne’s Main Street: All Classic Vehicle Owners Welcome!

Introduced during the 2025 edition of the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration, the first organised by the Royal Automobile Club of Spa, the display of participating vehicles along Bastogne’s Main Street on Sunday afternoon quickly became one of the highlights of the event. It gives participants the opportunity to exhibit their cars and motorcycles after completing the second leg of the tour, while allowing visitors in the town centre to admire an exceptional collection of historic two- and four-wheeled vehicles.
On Sunday, August 9, the organisers are taking the concept one step further. From 2:00 pm, the participants will once again display their vehicles in the shopping street after passing through McAuliffe Square. This time, however, they will be joined by all owners of classic cars and motorcycles who wish to take part in this ever-growing exhibition.
As with the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration itself, only vehicles built before 1976 will be accepted, ensuring the historical consistency of the display.
Interested collectors are invited to gather at Place Patton before the end of the morning, where their vehicles will be integrated into the participants’ convoy. The participation fee is €10, which includes the official programme and access to the Drivers' Club. Each driver will also receive an official wristband. At 2:00 pm, the convoy will drive through McAuliffe Square, pass beneath the official start and finish arch, and proceed into Bastogne’s Main Street.
While the participants in the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration will be parked on one side of the street, the guest collectors will line up on the opposite side, creating an even more impressive display of historic vehicles.
No advance registration is required. Simply report to Place Patton on Sunday, August 9, complete the registration formalities, pay the participation fee, and confirm your attendance together with your classic car or motorcycle.
At 4:30 pm, following the official prize-giving ceremony of the 2026 Ardennes Circuit Commemoration, the exhibition will come to an end and the Main Street will reopen to normal traffic.

L’icône Bugatti Type 35C de nouveau au départ !
Alors que la clôture des inscriptions en vue de l’édition 2026 de la Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes est fixée à ce mardi 4 août à 23h59, le Royal Automobile Club de Spa est fier d’annoncer qu’une iconique Bugatti Type 35C sera une nouvelle fois au départ ! L’exemplaire présenté vient des Pays-Bas, date de 1926.
S’il est concevable d’imaginer un événement historique sans Bugatti, présenter au public de la région de Bastogne cette fille de Molsheim qui fut la reine des Grands Prix dans les années ’20 reste un plus incontestable.
Avec sa ligne caractéristique et des jantes qui permettent de la reconnaitre au premier coup d’œil, la Type 35 est l’un des chefs d’œuvre d’Ettore Bugatti. Construite à plus de 630 exemplaires, elle a remporté tellement de courses que d’aucuns l’ont baptisée ‘la voiture aux plus de 2000 succès’ !
Dans la région de Bastogne, le décompte final a commencé et dans quelques petites journées, les premières mécaniques du temps d’avant, dont cette Bugatti Type 35C, résonneront sur les superbes routes convergeant vers la Place McAuliffe…

De iconische Bugatti Type 35C keert terug naar de startgrid!
Nu de inschrijvingsdeadline voor de Ardennen Circuit Commemoration 2026 is vastgesteld op dinsdag 4 augustus om 23.59 uur, kondigt de Royal Automobile Club van Spa met trots aan dat een iconische Bugatti Type 35C opnieuw aan de start zal verschijnen! Deze wagen, afkomstig uit Nederland en gebouwd in 1926.
Een historisch evenement zonder Bugatti is nauwelijks denkbaar. Daarom is de aanwezigheid van deze in Molsheim gebouwde wagen, die in de jaren twintig de Grand Prix-racerij domineerde, zonder twijfel een van de absolute hoogtepunten voor het publiek in de regio Bastogne.
Met zijn kenmerkende lijnen en onmiddellijk herkenbare spaakwielen is de Type 35C een van de meesterwerken van Ettore Bugatti. Er werden meer dan 630 exemplaren gebouwd en dankzij zijn indrukwekkende palmares wordt hij door velen omschreven als ‘de auto met meer dan 2.000 overwinningen’.
In de regio Bastogne is het aftellen begonnen. Over enkele dagen zullen de eerste oldtimers, waaronder deze schitterende Bugatti Type 35C, over de prachtige wegen richting het McAuliffeplein rijden…

With the registration deadline for the 2026 Ardennes Circuit Commemoration set for Tuesday, August 4, at 11:59 PM, the Royal Automobile Club of Spa is proud to announce that an iconic Bugatti Type 35C will once again line up on the starting grid! This remarkable car, owned in the Netherlands and built in 1926.
It's hard to imagine a historic motoring event without a Bugatti. The presence of this Molsheim-built car, which dominated Grand Prix racing throughout the 1920s, will undoubtedly be one of the highlights for spectators in the Bastogne region.
With its distinctive lines and instantly recognizable wheels, the Type 35C is one of Ettore Bugatti's masterpieces. More than 630 examples were built, and it won so many races that it has often been referred to as "the car with more than 2,000 victories."
The countdown has begun in the Bastogne region, and in just a few days, the first vintage vehicles—including this magnificent Bugatti Type 35C—will be taking to the beautiful roads leading to McAuliffe Square…

La Place McAuliffe dans tous ses états !

En reprenant les rênes de la Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes, le Royal Automobile Club de Spa avait parmi ses objectifs une meilleure mise en valeur du centre névralgique de son événement : l’incontournable Place McAuliffe au cœur de Bastogne. L’installation d’un Drivers’ Club digne de ce nom et la présence d’un village des exposants ont été les premiers signes de cette évolution.
Confirmation les samedi 8 et dimanche 9 août, avec en prime une exposition thématique de prestige sur l’histoire des départements auto et moto de la Fabrique Nationale, en étroite collaboration avec la fondation Ars Mechanica. Qui trouvera écho dans la présentation d'un 'work in progress' signé par le mondialement célèbre Krugger, le tout basé sur une mécanique de moto... FN ! La boucle sera bouclée...
Quant au village des exposants, il comptera parmi ses ‘résidents’ d’un week-end rien moins que le Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, qui a pris dans les années ’20 le relais du Circuit des Ardennes, mais aussi le Musée du Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, sis en l’abbaye de Stavelot. Une double présence qui permet de relier l’épreuve organisée au début du XXe siècle au cœur de la province de Luxembourg à ce site de renommée mondiale qui a récemment célébré son centenaire et qui sert plus que jamais de cadre magique au Grand Prix de Belgique de Formule 1.
L’équipe de Roadbook Events, organisatrice d’événements tels que Spa Six Hours, le Spa Summer Festival et SuperSpa, sera aussi de la partie afin de teaser le traditionnel rendez-vous historique de la fin de l’été ou du début de l’automne sur ‘le plus beau circuit du monde’.
Quant à la société Yacco, célèbre pour ses lubrifiants de qualité, elle va réserver aux visiteurs une jolie surprise en lien avec son histoire, le tout dans un décorum ‘vintage’ à souhait. Fédération belge du véhicule ancien, la BEHVA est officiellement partenaire de l'événement et sera présente sur la Place McAuliffe, au même titre que l'un ou l'autre spécialiste de miniatures.
Ajoutez-y l’exposition de véhicules historiques d’exception, à l’image de l’Imperia Grand Prix 1930, et vous obtiendrez une Place McAuliffe qui ne manquera pas de se plonger dans une ambiance délicieusement rétro…

McAuliffeplein in al zijn glorie!

Toen de Royal Automobile Club van Spa de organisatie van de Ardennes Circuit Commemoration overnam, wilde hij het kloppende hart van het evenement – het iconische McAuliffeplein in het centrum van Bastogne – nog sterker in de kijker zetten. De oprichting van een volwaardige Drivers' Club en de aanwezigheid van een exposantendorp vormden de eerste zichtbare tekenen van deze evolutie. Op zaterdag 8 en zondag 9 augustus wordt die lijn verder doorgetrokken, met als extra troef een prestigieuze thematentoonstelling over de geschiedenis van de auto- en motorafdeling van Fabrique Nationale (FN), gerealiseerd in nauwe samenwerking met de Stichting Ars Mechanica.
Een van de blikvangers wordt de presentatie van een work in progress van de wereldberoemde Krugger, volledig opgebouwd rond een FN-motorfietsblok. De cirkel is daarmee helemaal rond...
Ook het exposantendorp belooft heel wat moois. Tot de deelnemers behoren onder meer het Circuit van Spa-Francorchamps, dat in de jaren twintig de fakkel overnam van het Circuit des Ardennes, en het Circuitmuseum Spa-Francorchamps, gevestigd in de Abdij van Stavelot. Dankzij deze dubbele aanwezigheid wordt een mooie brug geslagen tussen de wedstrijd die aan het begin van de 20e eeuw in het hart van de provincie Luxemburg werd georganiseerd en dit wereldberoemde circuit, dat onlangs zijn honderdjarig bestaan vierde en vandaag meer dan ooit het indrukwekkende decor vormt voor de Formule 1 Grand Prix van België.
Ook het team van Roadbook Events, organisator van evenementen zoals de Spa Six Hours, het Spa Summer Festival en SuperSpa, zal aanwezig zijn om een voorsmaakje te geven van deze traditionele historische afspraak aan het einde van de zomer of het begin van de herfst op "het mooiste circuit ter wereld".
Yacco, de specialist in hoogwaardige smeermiddelen, heeft bovendien een aangename verrassing in petto voor de bezoekers, volledig in het teken van de rijke geschiedenis van het merk en gepresenteerd in een sfeervol vintage decor.
De Belgische Federatie voor Oude Voertuigen (BEHVA), officiële partner van het evenement, zal eveneens aanwezig zijn op het McAuliffeplein, samen met verschillende specialisten in miniatuurmodellen.
Voeg daar nog een tentoonstelling van uitzonderlijke historische voertuigen aan toe, waaronder de Imperia Grand Prix uit 1930, en het is duidelijk dat het McAuliffeplein volledig zal baden in een heerlijke retro-sfeer.

McAuliffe Square in all its glory!

When the Royal Automobile Club of Spa took over the organization of the Ardennes Circuit Commemoration, one of its main objectives was to further enhance the event's beating heart: the iconic McAuliffe Square in the centre of Bastogne. The creation of a fully-fledged Drivers' Club and the introduction of an exhibitors' village were the first visible signs of this evolution. On Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, visitors will discover another major attraction: a prestigious themed exhibition dedicated to the history of Fabrique Nationale's (FN) automobile and motorcycle divisions, presented in close collaboration with the Ars Mechanica Foundation.
One of the exhibition's highlights will be the presentation of a work in progress by the world-renowned Krugger, built around an FN motorcycle engine. The circle is complete...
The exhibitors' village will also feature some outstanding guests. Among them will be the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit, which succeeded the Circuit des Ardennes in the 1920s, as well as the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit Museum, housed in the Abbey of Stavelot. Together, they create a symbolic link between the race that was held in the heart of the Province of Luxembourg at the beginning of the 20th century and the world-famous circuit that recently celebrated its centenary and continues to provide the spectacular setting for the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix.
The Roadbook Events team, organisers of renowned events such as the Spa Six Hours, the Spa Summer Festival and SuperSpa, will also be present to offer visitors a preview of the traditional historic meeting that takes place at the end of summer or the beginning of autumn on "the most beautiful circuit in the world."
Yacco, the renowned manufacturer of high-performance lubricants, will also have a delightful surprise in store for visitors, celebrating the company's rich heritage in a beautifully vintage setting.
The Belgian Historic Vehicle Association (BEHVA), an official partner of the event, will also be present on McAuliffe Square, alongside several specialists in model and miniature vehicles.
Add to this an exhibition of exceptional historic vehicles, including the magnificent 1930 Imperia Grand Prix, and McAuliffe Square is guaranteed to be immersed in a wonderfully nostalgic atmosphere.

Cap sur Libramont pour la halte de samedi

La Commémoration du Circuit des Ardennes 2026 comprendra une nouvelle fois deux étapes, dont la plus longue, celle du samedi, emmènera d’abord les participants en direction de Libramont-Chevigny, soit un périple d’une centaine de kilomètres. Un premier arrêt dans l'enceinte d'un château de la célèbre famille de Fierlant, entre Freux et Libramont, permettra de profiter d’une boisson chaude ou froide, tandis que la symbolique avec l’univers des sports mécaniques sera omniprésente.
Cap ensuite sur la place communale de Libramont, où autos et motos seront rangées afin de profiter du temps de midi. La restauration sera assurée par un acteur de la région, tandis que podium et animations permettront aussi au public local ou de passage de faire plus ample connaissance avec les véhicules ayant quitté Bastogne en début de matinée.
Une fois cette halte au cœur de Libramont passée, la seconde partie de la journée arpentera le territoire de la commune, mais aussi celui de Neufchâteau, avant une nouvelle pause du côté d’Ebly et un retour vers Bastogne où un cocktail dînatoire en compagnie du chef Julien Lapraille rythmera le début de soirée.

Op weg naar Libramont voor de zaterdagse tussenstop

De Ardennen Circuit Commemoratie 2026 bestaat opnieuw uit twee etappes. De langste etappe, op zaterdag, brengt de deelnemers eerst naar Libramont-Chevigny, goed voor een traject van ongeveer 100 kilometer. Een eerste tussenstop vindt plaats op het domein van een kasteel van de bekende familie de Fierlant, tussen Freux en Libramont. Daar kunnen de deelnemers genieten van een warm of koud drankje, terwijl de autosport er duidelijk aanwezig is.
Vervolgens gaat de route naar het dorpsplein van Libramont, waar de auto's en motoren worden geparkeerd voor de middagpauze. De catering wordt verzorgd door een lokale traiteur en dankzij het animatiepodium krijgen zowel de inwoners als de bezoekers de kans om de voertuigen die eerder die ochtend uit Bastogne zijn vertrokken van dichtbij te bewonderen.
Na deze halte in het hart van Libramont verkent de tweede helft van de dag het grondgebied van de gemeente, maar ook dat van Neufchâteau. Daarna volgt nog een pauze in de omgeving van Ebly, waarna de deelnemers terugkeren naar Bastogne. Daar luidt een cocktaildiner, verzorgd door chef-kok Julien Lapraille, het begin van de avond in.

Heading to Libramont for Saturday's Stop

The 2026 Ardennes Circuit Commemoration will once again be run over two stages. The longer stage, on Saturday, will first take participants to Libramont-Chevigny, covering a distance of approximately 100 kilometres. The first stop will be at the grounds of a château belonging to the renowned de Fierlant family, located between Freux and Libramont, where participants will be able to enjoy a hot or cold drink while soaking up the unmistakable atmosphere of historic motorsport.
The route will then lead to Libramont's town square, where the cars and motorcycles will be parked for the lunch break. Catering will be provided by a local company, while a stage with live entertainment will give both local residents and visitors the opportunity to admire the vehicles that left Bastogne earlier that morning.
After this stop in the heart of Libramont, the second part of the day will take participants through the municipalities of Libramont-Chevigny and Neufchâteau before another break near Ebly. The route will then return to Bastogne, where a cocktail dinner hosted by chef Julien Lapraille will set the tone for the evening.
