💚💛 Coach Spotlight: Zarah 💛💚

As part of our coach spotlight series, we’re giving a shoutout to Zarah, coach of our U11 Green team.

Zarah has been with this group since U6s and has helped guide them all the way through MiniRoos. The team now plays great passing football, works hard for each other, and is developing into a group of smart, skilful young players. They are a joy to watch!

This is in no small part due to Zarah’s coaching. She communicates clearly, sets a positive standard, and has built a team environment where players are encouraged to listen, learn, take risks and enjoy their football.

Zarah’s own football journey is a great example for her players too. She has played for Wingham FC, served as a game leader, completed MiniRoos and Foundation of Football coaching courses, and currently plays for Southern United in the Women’s Zone Premier League, all while studying for her HSC!

Last Thursday during FFW Southern United Women's coach Jane Lynch came out to our U11 training session to watch Zarah and mentor her. Despite the rain, they got stuck into a fantastic session, a great example of commitment and giving back to the footballing community.

We’re proud to have coaches like Zarah helping shape the next generation of Wingham FC players.
