Round 2 at Taree !

Team a relieved to get through a weekend much better than round 1. Down on power and some set up work to do and we will be ready for the next!

Mildura, we're coming!
After 2 very successful rounds so far this season, the field just gets bigger and bigger. With an estimated 25+ boats to hit the start line, we can promise some action.
So in just under 7 weeks, we're going to link up with the USA & NZ vs Australia BAD Boat Challenge and make sure this is a very memorable event!

Matt Smith – SRF 🔵🟡

Matt Smith is officially our final entrant for the Formula GP class — and with Round 2 at Taree just days away, the grid is set to be stacked with 20 boats ready to battle it out!

Unfortunately, Rathmines wasn’t kind to the SRF team, with both Matt and son Joel sitting out most of Sunday’s racing due to mechanical issues. But the father-son duo has been back in the shed, working hard to get both boats sorted and race-ready.

We’re excited to see Matt hit the water and join what’s shaping up to be a massive final lineup on Sunday. Fingers crossed for smooth sailing and a full field!

Joel Smith – SRF 🔵🟡 🏁

Joel Smith had a rough run at Rathmines, chasing mechanical gremlins all weekend between his boat and his dad Matt’s.

Unfortunately, the bad luck peaked during Race 1, when Joel suffered a catastrophic engine failure, ending his round early. 💔

But the SRF team didn’t waste time — another engine is ready to go, and Joel is ready to give it another crack at Taree!

Here’s hoping the luck has turned and we see Joel back at full throttle in Round 2!
