🌟 EOI NOW OPEN – 2027 Wyong District Netball 11’s Development Squad 🌟

Are you ready to take the next step in your netball journey? Wyong District Netball Association is now accepting Expressions of Interest for our 2027 11’s Development Squad.

This program is designed for players who will be turning 11 in 2027 and are eager to develop their skills in a positive, challenging and supportive environment. Squad selections are based on merit, with all players required to attend the trial to be considered.

🗓 Applications close: Saturday 15 August 2026 at 5.00pm
🏐 Trials: Sunday 16 August 2026
⏰ Arrival: 8.45am for a 9.00am start
📍 Venue: Baker Park, Wyong

🏐 2027 Representative Player EOIs are NOW OPEN! 💙❤️

Wyong District Netball Association is now accepting Expressions of Interest for players wishing to be considered for our 2027 Representative Program.

We invite players in our 12, 13, 14 and 15-year age groups to submit their EOI, with trials taking place in August 2026. Players interested in our 17’s and Opens teams are also encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest, with selections to be held in late January or early February 2027 once players have confirmed their commitments for the season.

We ask ALL PLAYERS TO WEAR RED, BLACK AND YELLOW for the Ruth Kent Indigenous Round!

📆SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST 2026.

It doesn't take much to join in and show your support. It can be socks, scrunchies, or whatever you decide. Let's fill the courts with RED, BLACK AND YELLOW and celebrate together!

🎖MVP Medals will be presented at every game. Each club will choose their own MVP for every team.

🙋‍♀️Club representatives will need to collect their club's full allocation of MVP medals on the day. Please ensure someone is available to collect them before games commence.

This year, we proudly celebrate 10 years of the Ruth Kent Indigenous Round—a Decade of Deadly and we look forward to celebrating this event with you.
The Ruth Kent Indigenous Round celebrates culture, connection and community, proudly carrying Ruth's name as a tribute to her remarkable legacy.
Ruth was a proud Wiradjuri woman, well known across Darkinung Country, where she lived most of her life. A Life Member of Wyong Netball (and Wyong Water Polo), she dedicated more than 40 years of volunteer service and was recognised by Netball NSW for her extraordinary commitment. Ruth was a true community champion whose generosity, quick wit, laughter and lots of singing brought people together.

Established a decade ago to honour Ruth's contribution to netball while celebrating Aboriginal culture, this round has grown into a day that unites our entire Association. As we celebrate A Decade of Deadly, we honour Ruth's enduring legacy and all the players, families, volunteers and supporters who continue to make this event so special. As we step onto the court, we carry Ruth's spirit with us, strong, proud and united. Here's to the next decade of celebrating culture, community and connection together.
