Purple Roxy was developed because my daughter didn’t fit the box for swimwear and underwear. Activewear and swimwear that fits! Custom made on request.

Struggling to keep up with life at the moment and this one decides it’s his job to help! 🤦‍♀️

I often find myself worrying that my work isn’t perfect — noticing every little imperfection and being far too hard on myself.

But then I see some of the costumes being produced by big costume companies, often charging far more than I do, and it reminds me to give myself a little grace.

Perfection isn’t the goal. Creating something with care, passion and love is.

So, maybe I need to stop being my own harshest critic and start appreciating just how much work goes into what I do.

There is something rewarding about an alteration which isn’t complicated and I don’t need to think about exactly what would look best.

Costume creation is not all fun. It’s stressful, time consuming, experimental, and costly. But the end result is so rewarding when it finally comes together!
Toil of a costume I’m working on, not my daughter but she put it on to help me see how it looked.

It’s been a while since I posted last. I resigned from my job and started a new job so I’ve been learning new policies and procedures rather than sewing.
This weekend was marking drafts and mending dance costumes. I did make a little bit of creative time with Liquid Radiance. When it is dried I will show you the finished products.

These costumes look amazing on stage! Was totally different to the original sketch a friend sent me as my little minions have specific requirements, asks etc.
