Celebrating Our Female Volunteers!

A few of our WPC Cricket female volunteers had the pleasure of attending Queensland Cricket’s Female Volunteer Recognition Evening at Allan Border Field last night.

Held in conjunction with Brisbane Heat’s Women in Sport Function, the evening celebrated the incredible contribution of women across community cricket and provided a fantastic opportunity to connect, share experiences and celebrate women in sport.

The night finished with an exciting Weber WBBL clash between the Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers! 🔥

We are incredibly proud of the women who give their time, energy and passion to WPC Cricket. Your contribution makes a real difference to our club and our cricket community.

Here’s to the amazing women behind the game! 💜🏏

Celebrating Women and Girls Week at WPC Cricket

What an exciting season of growth for girls’ cricket at WPC!

We’ve been working hard to create more opportunities for girls to get involved, learn new skills, build confidence and most importantly, enjoy being part of the game.

This season, we’ve:
Hosted girls-only preseason IGNITE sessions, giving girls the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
Run girls-only Cricket Blast sessions, introducing more young girls to cricket and helping them take their first steps in the game.
Grown our girls’ teams from ONE to FOUR! teams this season!

That’s more girls picking up a bat, taking a ball in hand, making friendships and becoming part of our WPC family.

We’re incredibly proud of how far our girls’ program has come, but this is just the beginning!

Here’s to continuing to grow, inspire and create opportunities for the next generation of female cricketers.
