Less than a week to go before our OPM next weekend!!

The range is looking superb, thanks in part to the new flag poles from Mackay Aluminium Industries. We now have flags both sides of the range so there’s no more excuses 😂.

Targets are looking great as well, with a new set of aiming marks for all distances with replaceable centres from Shane at Create A Sign.

We will have food available all weekend, with a home cooked meal on Saturday night. A bit of a change from years gone by and it’s going to be great!!

Hope to see you all there!!

Jimmy Roughan is your 2024, QRA Kings FTR Champion!!!

He’s also the grand aggregate winner for the Duncan and The Kings. Well done Jimmy!

Jimmy came from behind after a slowish start on Friday and put down consistent scores across Saturday and Sunday to seal the deal today. Jimmy ended up tied on points with second place, but had a massive centre count that got him across the line nicely.

Kris McNamara had a similar showing and came surging through the rankings to finish 6th overall. Well done Skipper/Zipper. That field was stacked with some big hitters.

Tim Lawrence in FTR, Rob Wilde in TR-A and young Copper Wilde in TR-B all finished very well in the top 1/2-1/3 of their stacked fields. Have a look at the QRA posts and find the photos of Copper and Rob shooting together, it really hits you in the feels.

That’s the QRA Kings done for another year. Thank you to Michelle, QRA Queensland Rifle Association and all others involved in keeping us updated.

Well done all other winners and competitors.

Must have been a good day for fishing today, because we only had 8 shooters for the club 800m.

Whilst good fishing weather, it was also superb shooting weather, but with the flickle breeze, comes the trap of sneaky direction shifts.
