Couple big results coming from our team last weekend up in Sydney! A world major marathon on an incredible however tough course that certainly will keep you honest!

For both our runners who competed they jumped on board 6 and 13 months out. Giving themselves plenty of time to lay foundations, work on weakness’s (shorter faster races) , slowly progress training loads, and then hit race specific blocks as we got closer. This allowed nothing to be rushed and for them ultimately to give themselves the best chances of running well on the day.

Congrats to both of them on their commitment throughout the whole block. Getting to a marathon start line can be equally as hard as getting to the finish line, both of these runners got to both 👏

Gold Coast and Sunny Coast marathons.
Couple events over the last few months have seen a number of our athletes take to the roads! Lots of km’s logged, and some great results all round!

Very grateful to be invited down for a session with the u/16s tonight. We worked on 3 areas of running, with some Decell / Accell to start, some more aerobic focused running through the middle, with some more football specific short sharp repeat efforts to finish off. A great buy in from a great group of young lads!

Ballarat Marathon 2026 Recap!

A massive day up in Ballarat that featured a few of our runners!

Taking on the Mara in unseasonably warm conditions was Jaydan Tommy and Nikki! All Coming in with great training blocks under the belt and solid goals in mind they all came back saying how challenging it was out there with the heat and wind. Tommy put another great solid marathon on the board, barely missing on a PB. Jayden on debut ran a well calculated race and finished with an incredible 2:49 in his first ever marathon! In the week leading up he wasn’t even sure if he would get to the line, so that just goes to show the resilience of the man! Unfortunately Nikki didn’t have the day she was after, none the less she’s got a ton of good training behind her and you just know she’ll be back!

Over to the half we had Georgia! 4 months ago she said she’s never running a hard half or race again. On Sunday she left Ballarat with a new PB in her back pocket! An incredible effort off limited prep, looking forward to big year ahead for her now!
