The Thomson Cricket Club is excited to announce the signing of Jarryd Walsh for season 2026/2027

Jarryd who played for Woorndoo last season in the Colac South - West league is a genuine all rounder who made 457 runs @22.85 and took 33 wickets @21.58.

So on behalf of the Committee and the Thomson community, Welcome Jarryd and his partner Abbey to the Thomson Cricket Club 💚💛

The Thomson cricket club is excited to announce the signing of Ryan Stoneley for season 2026/2027

Ryan who has played for Armstrong creek the last three seasons is an opening bowler who took 17 wickets last season at @22.06 and is a handy lower order batsman averaging nearly 20.

So on behalf of the Committee the Thomson community, Welcome Ryan and his Family , Partner Teah and kids Jamie and Archie to the Thomson Cricket club 💛💚

*COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT*

The Thomson Cricket club is pleased to announce the signing of our Senior coach for the 2026/2027 Season.

Brett , A well credentialed cricketer and coach takes over the role from outgoing coach Zac Smith.

Brett , a favourite son of Thomson grew up spending his Saturdays at Godfrey street , He played Victorian U/19 level , spent time in the Victorian institute of sport and even represented the Canberra Comets and Geelong cricket club at premier level.

After returning to the GCA Brett spent many seasons leading the attack in GCA 1 for Thomson and South Barwon.

Brett then transitioned into coaching where he spent time at the Newcomb Bulls before returning home to Thomson in 2022/2023 where he coached for two seasons one of which narrowly losing in a Grand final.

More recently , Brett was a mainstay in the Thomson 3rds where he displayed his talents as a bat and was a key part to the premiership in 2025/2026

With strong personal ties to Thomson , the passion and experience that will bring will help the club moving forward.

So on behalf of the committee and the Thomson Community, Welcome back to the helm Brett and his family , Wife Jenna and 2 boys Archie and Blake to the Thomson Cricket Club.
