It takes a Village…

This National Volunteers Week, we want to give a big shout out to our legends behind the Taralga Australia Day Rodeo and Campdraft.

From the big jobs to the little things nobody sees, there’s a whole crew working away behind the scenes long before the gates open. Setting up, fixing things, organising, cooking, cleaning, running errands, solving problems and somehow making it all come together every year.

Most of it happens quietly, without recognition … and usually a little with of “it’ll be right” thrown around along the way.

Our Rodeo and Campdraft events simply wouldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers who give up their time to help keep these great community events going year after year.

So here’s to the people behind the scenes of all ages 🍻🥂
— the early starters, late finishers, problem solvers and those who somehow end up doing “just one more thing”.

As we head towards celebrating 60 years of the Taralga Australia Day Rodeo, we also acknowledge the many volunteers over the decades whose hard work, time and dedication have helped shape our Rodeo and Campdraft into the events they are today.

We appreciate every single one of you. 🤠

Today we want to say thank you to the many mums who contribute to our rodeo in so many ways — whether as volunteers, committee members, sponsors, stallholders, competitors, supporters, or the mums behind the riders.

Your hard work, dedication, and support help keep our rodeo community strong. From the behind-the-scenes effort to the countless hours spent encouraging, organising, travelling, and supporting your families and our events — your contribution does not go unnoticed.

To the rodeo mums who are always there in the background making it all happen, and to all the mums who are part of our wider rodeo family, thank you.

Thank you, Taralga ❤️

The Baxter Boots Taralga Australia Day Rodeo is our biggest event of the year, every year — and because it’s our local event, we’re not just there for coffee on the day. We’re knee-deep in prep for weeks beforehand, right alongside so many others who pour their time into making it happen.

Amy is a huge supporter of local events, because they’re what keep small towns like ours going — and this one means a lot to us.

Thank you to every single person who visited The Coffee Palette van. Our frappes and iced coffees were so popular we couldn’t keep up with the ice — but everyone was so patient, kind and understanding, and that means more than you know.

A massive thank you to the very best crew — Jolene, Hannah, Meg, Charli, Luke and James. From hunting down ice, looking for the gazebo roof, searching for more cups and jumping in wherever needed — none of you let me down. And I noticed. ❤️

To everyone who visits our van, you might think you’re “just buying a coffee”… but you’re genuinely supporting a local family business. And that support is what allows us to live here, work here, and give our time outside the van to help our local events and community thrive.

We’re tired, grateful, and very proud to be part of it.
