🐅RESULTS-2026 Taralga Show Quick Shear🐅

This year there was a clash of many social events around the traps, so we were down on numbers however still had a fab day and happy to still have this little show event for all the travellers who competed from near and far.

🐑Shoutout also goes to Harry Chalker- competing in his first shearing event at 12.

Proud to see the next generation of a shearing family take the stand and didn’t hesitate to get up and shear the few leftover lambs.

*edit: congratulations to Liam Garnham- also his first event!!! The Garnham family well renowned amongst the industry, I’m sure this will be the beginning of another great little champ too!!

The bit for us that makes it all worthwhile when we get to see that little spark ignite the next generation take on the trade and future of our great shearing industry 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Firstly thank you to all of the sponsors for the 2026 Taralga Show- very grateful for all the little businesses who support the show each year.

Thank you to Top Gun Shearing for their ever easy and prompt supply of shearing singlets.

We are also very thankful to our volunteers on the day who assisted:

A day of banter between Danny & B***y always makes the day- next year we’ll have to add on the golden oldies so they can continue their battle of who is the better shearer!

🐅Regos open 10am - Novice kick off at 11am
🐅Cash entries, limited eftpos facilities on site
🐅Lambs are crutched ready to go, if you plan on coming please pre-enter to claim your spot

*if you have/ or plan to by 9pm tonight pre-nominate we will leave your name on the list at the gate for included entry to the Showgrounds (If you don’t Adults entry is $15- u/18 Free)

After her first day shearing, Mikayla Hall's hands were covered in blisters. Three years later she's one of the fastest female shearers in Australia.
