✨ Happy International Dance Day 2026! ✨

Today, we celebrate the joy, creativity, and magic that dance brings into the lives of children all around the world. At Little Lights Dance, we are so proud to nurture young dancers in a warm, encouraging, and joyful environment where confidence, imagination, and friendships can flourish. 💫

Dance is so much more than movement - it is self-expression, creativity, connection, and joy. Through music and movement, our little dancers are discovering confidence, developing coordination, and learning to express themselves in beautiful and meaningful ways.

Each class is filled with smiles, sparkle, imagination, and the pure love of dance, and we are so grateful to share these special moments with our wonderful Little Lights families.

Spots are now open in our Preschool Program for Term 2, commencing 28 April ✨

Our preschool classes are truly one of a kind — a program developed entirely in-house to introduce little ones to dance through creative storytelling, imaginative play, and age-appropriate themes.

We offer four preschool levels:
🌟 Teeny Tiny Lights — Ages 2–2.5 years (carers welcome)
⭐️ Tiny Lights — Ages 2.5–3.5 years
✨ Little Lights — Ages 3.5–4.5 years
💫 Bright Lights — Ages 4.5–5.5 years

Each term, our little dancers are immersed in a new world of imagination, exploring characters, stories, and movement in a nurturing, non-competitive environment where every child is encouraged to find their light at their own pace ✨

Classes run Monday to Friday mornings at our beautiful Belrose studios.

Places in our preschool program are always in high demand, and waitlists can extend from 1 to 3 terms - so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the perfect time.

Dear Little Lights families,

We’re so excited to share some wonderful news… Little Lights Dance has found a new home!

We’ll be moving into a beautiful new space in Belrose, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for this next chapter.

Our preschool program will continue just as you know and love it — with the same familiar faces, the same nurturing approach, and the same imaginative, age-appropriate classes your little ones adore… just in a new space.

As part of this transition, we’re partnering with Ballet Academy Northside (Dance B.A.N.) — a studio that shares our values in storytelling, creativity, and thoughtful program design. They also bring an exceptional school-aged program, offering strong training, impressive results, and pathways into professional dance for students who wish to take their journey further.

It truly is everything you love, in a new home.

Term 2 Dates: Tuesday, 28th April - Friday, 26th June

I’ve been reflecting about all the things I love about LLD lately and the highlights over the years so I thought I’d share how LLD has shaped me and what I’ve enjoyed creating.

It’s been the highlight of my life helping to build and create our LLD school aged program. My whole life I danced but I particularly loved performing and choreography.

There are so many highlights and favorite pieces I’ve created.

In no particular order:

- The Hideaway Dance
- our LOTTA AT THE MOVIES Mini Showcases where we performed Annie, Mary Poppins, Frozen (we did 15+ mini showcases during Covid)
- The Nutcracker (small) and The Nutcracker (big) for our 10 year anniversary
- Creating our mini ballet showcases such as Swan Lake, Cinderella and A Midsummer Nights Dream
- Directing our ‘big’ shows Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid, The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland
