The modified bonnet is back on the car and looking like it's meant to be. The rear bar and front bars are back on. The new intercooler is mounted and looks invisible with a very light coat of black paint. Set to arrange the ceramic coating in the next week or so. We still need to purchase a few more parts before we can get the XC fired up and tuned.

Damo punched in some hours today finalising the critical body work, before applying paint. The bonnet turned out better than we had ever thought. A few hours in it, but hoping the gains will be in horse power and cooler engine bay temps. We can't wait to see it on the car.

More work done today, with the second NACA duct cut into the bonnet. Both NACA ducts were mounted to the bonnet using an epoxy. The engine bits were removed to prep for paint or ceramic coating (temps). A few battle scars were repaired and prepped for paint.

The mighty XC is getting some "speed holes" (Moe from the Simpsons) put into the bonnet. With the aim of maximising air flow to the turbo and reducing engine bay temps. I was hesitant, but to be fair the concept design is looking pretty good! P.s. we measured 2 or 3 times 🤣

We are another few steps closer to coming back bigger and better. Jaye ( Jaye's Custom Fabrications) has out done himself again. What mods has Jaye done?
+ Modified and fitted the 135mm Johnny Tig intercooler has been modified, with a custom bonnet catch.
What else has been done?
+ Screamer pipe (race and street mode).
+"street spec" enclosed air box.
+ Custom haltech pad panel for the dash.
+ A custom belly pan and mounting system.
+ Dump pipe (race and street mode).
+ Burst plate on manifold (NOS life)
+ Modified the intake to support 82mm throttle body
+ Mounted the 60mm turbosmart waste gate

What's next for the Turbo barra XC falcon?
Have a look at the rear end ($$$)... Cut some holes in the bonnet 🫣 and repair some minor damage from the racing these far...

Hot side mods are coming up a treat. Jaye has done a Stella job with the race spec screamer pipe; we love the exit shape. The wastegate side of things looks super tidy as well. Getting to the pointy end of things which is super 🫣.

Jaye (Jaye's Fabrication) has been taking the modifications to get everything plumbed and working well. The new turbo and wastegate (which is massive) each have new homes. We have pivoted from an FG manifold (69mm) to a Bosch one (82mm). We are on the home stretch for plumbing up the intercooler and fabricating the dump-pipe/screamer. The overall vision is coming together nicely.

A new toy to play with! A big shout out to Eddie from Comp Turbos for looking after us with a sweet deal on one of their turbos. We will be running a CT5 7685 oil cooled turbo charger on our built barra engine. This could be the only one on a barra and we are looking forward to keeping comp turbos in the loop in how we go later this year on the dyno.

We pulled the t400 out today to send off to be checked by Craigs Autos, in preparation for the 1000hp built engine. It was fairly smooth, expect for two extremely fun bolts on the bell housing 🤣.

We have ordered a heap of new parts over the past week, including: 6 boost manifold, LS alternator bracket & alternator, atomic power steering delete, Comp Turbo, turbosmart 60mm waste gate and a 135mm intercooler. Hopefully lead times aren't too insane 🤞.

Mad Car media have a wonderful shot of the XC carrying the left front. We can't wait for another 400-500hp 🤣

We had a great day out at the NSW Championship Round 4 event, running in the Super Street class. The car was as consistent as it has ever been. We took out a round 1 win, with a good dial in and reaction time. This was the last event for the Green Top Barra setup, before we drop in a forged engine, bigger turbo and hunt for 9s and possibly and 8.

The times across the day were:
10.676 @125
10.498 @125
10.408 @127 - All time PB
10.416 @127 - Rd 1 win
10.592 124 - Rd 2 loss
(0.262 range)

Another PB! 10.408 in Q3. Car is driving well. Great turbo car conditions 🥶
