The primary objective of ODEX is to offer Australian and International exhibitors a multi-tiered networkin
g platform and opportunity to showcase products and services related to recreational scuba diving, dive travel and resorts, underwater imaging, marine conservation, freediving, spearfishing, underwater and ocean sports. ODEX will feature LIVE ACTION underwater sports games and international competitions, stake holder AGMs, technical workshops, FREE educational seminars, a short film competition, and novice and certified divers TRY DIVES that offer hands-on instruction and demonstrations of the latest gear and must have gadgets for the coming season. ODEX also supports a retail sales policy where exhibitors can sell stock. This has proven to attract visitors seeking bargains and also helps exhibitors sell off last season’s product lines or slow moving stock. The World Underwater Games, to be launched at ODEX 2013, will feature Fin Swimming, Dynamic and Static Apnea, Underwater Rugby, Hockey and a Spearfishing Top Shot Challenge. ODEX will also host the 2nd SSI World Series Freediving Championships and the Ocean Hunter Cup, a passionate and highly contested underwater rugby test match between sporting rivals Australian and New Zealand.
