Simplicity Magic was the fastest qualifier in three heats of the Ladbrokes Kempsey Cup at Taree overnight.

The Troy Dunn-trained runner chalked up win number 12 and is a littermate to Magical Ang and Hotshot Lily.

The $10,000 final will be held next Wednesday, June 24.

Think his champion stayer Sweet It Is which he bought early in her career and then took her to multiple Group 1 glory.

Finn decided recently he wanted to get into Michael Ivers famous "Trojan Tears" damline.

Federal Senor was last to leave the boxes and still posted the fastest semi-final time, but trainer Jason Mackay has warned the dog is capable of jumping smartly in Saturday's $40,000 to the winner final of the Ladbrokes Thunderbolt.

"This dog just loves going around his opponents...in five races from boxes seven and eight he has not been beaten."
