I'm closing the online doors soon... (one last sale to come).
Hello all! As some of you may know I had a little boy in October 2017. As a new mom my life has totally changed and my priorities have shifted. The two days I have Ryker in child care are spent in my busy home massage practice and getting to the computer to take care of Benchmark RMT has become a chore and not the joy it once was.
I am currently vetting a couple of online businesses who may take over my two courses, but nothing is solid. If you think you may want to delve into e-commerce and online education, please be in touch.
I have enjoyed these past 4 years as an online educator, sharing my passion for pilates and yoga in a massage practice. I'm so grateful for everyone who's taken my courses and have sent messages if thanks!

I will admit, I don't do as much range of motion testing and Orthopaedic tests as I should. The one test I do use weekly though, is the Supine to Sit test or Roll up test for functional leg length discrepancy (LLD)
I find people get very attached to their "short leg" being a problem, so I will often video tape the movement at their ankles to demonstrate that their LLD is usually coming from their pelvis or hips.

In the last year, as my practice has evolved to treat more chronic pelvic pain and pre/post natal clients, I've started asking women how many pregnancies they've had, not only births. A D&C can effect pelvic floor dysfunction similar to a vaginal birth.
And then there's the C-section scar. Read more about how the different types of abdominal scars affect Intra Abdominal Pressure, iliopsoas function, and distal limb pain.

No matter how old the scar, C-Section scars must be analyzed regarding a patient’s ability to build intra-abdominal pressure (IAP), particularly in the lower abdomen.

As I prepare for the birth of our first son, I have become increasingly aware of the position of my pelvis around the treatment table.

My clientele has grown to include more moms-to-be and new moms with chronic low back pain in recent years. I wish I had found this website sooner.
