TRAIN SMARTER, NOT HARDER π€
Let's talk goals.
This time of the year, everyone's set their New Years resolutions, committed to losing 30kg or doing 10 push-ups every day. But how many people actually stick to their goals? Not many.
You know WHY you should have goals, but what makes a GOOD goal?
Consider:
π» ACHIEVABILITY
How realistic is your goal really?
If you're looking to set new PBs in the gym- are you a novice or an advanced lifter? Your timeframe for PBs will be different.
Are you looking to drop a few kgs? Research shows that a drop in 0.5kg/ week is a realistic and sustainable weight loss goal. Does that fit in with your goal?
π EMOTIONAL BUY-IN
We humans are simple creatures, the more we want something, the more motivated we will be to make it happen.
So use that. Find your WHY. The root desire that will keep you coming back to your plan when you would rather do anything else.
𧨠BARRIERS
Fail to plan, plan to fail. Figure out what's going to go wrong - because plans always do - and come up with a contingency plan.
Think ahead to that holiday you have booked, or that exam month and instead of just hoping that things will work themselves out, actually MAKE it work. Always plan the next move when your head is in the clear.
