Detailed Defensive Movement Coaching

Contact cannot be effective if your footwork, positioning and movement are not where they need to be.

Coaching contact is one thing, but tackling is different to defending. Effective defending requires players to understand the situation in front of them, make the right decisions and execute their defensive technique under pressure.

Our focus needs to go beyond simply teaching players how to tackle. We need to develop defensive movement, positioning, communication, decision-making and technical ex*****on so players can consistently defend effectively.

Good contact starts before the tackle — with good footwork, body position and defensive movement.
