Difficult weekend after a snapped throttle cable in qualifying. Dispute giving it my best, I unfortunately wasn’t able to make the final. Learnt lots, and keen For Port Macquarie next week.

Not really the result we were looking for, had pace but a couple of mistakes gave us poor track position. Learnt lots at this fun track, onto Round 3 at Newcastle.

AKC round 1 done ✅. With difficulty getting to grips with the kart and my confidence on Friday / Saturday, I struggled to find both pace and race craft. Come Sunday however, I managed to pick up my game and drive the thing how I should have all weekend.
I managed to make the final and start from p36, working my way up to p15. To finish p15 in the final out of initially 70 competitors was definitely a fun and wild ride. Definitely ended the weekend with positives and will carry that onto the next round in WA.

Last weekend I competed in the City Of Sydney Titles and had yet another fun weekend of racing. With mixed heats throughout the weekend, I started the final in 15th and managed to finish in 6th (onboard). I’m happy that I was able to make a descent recovery with what I had.

Results:
Qualified 7th
Heat 1: DNF
Heat 2: 6th
Heat 3: 15th (started 17th)
Final: 6th (started 15th)

This weekend we are back racing for the first time this year. The city of Sydney titles here at Eastern Creek showed some good racing last year. I’m very keen for this event as it brings out the best drivers and this year will have over 30 entries in tag 125! Feel free to come say hi and enjoy the racing.

Another difficult weekend at round 4 of the Australian Kart Championship. With engine troubles from practice 2 on Friday after seizing an engine, we were unable to be competitive for most the weekend. Friday and Saturday saw carby issues and after changing so much with the engine and tune, we switched to a third carby just before the final. We solved most the issue but still lacked some straight line speed. Apart from the negatives, Emerald was a great track with lots of flowing corners which made for some great racing.

Thank you to everyone that helped and supported me this weekend, especially Topgun Driver Training Academy. And Troy Farley Race Engines. Looking forward to Newcaslte as we will come back stronger.

Difficult weekend Rd 3. Definitely one of the hardest tracks I have ever been to but a very fun one. Found some pace towards the end of the weekend but got caught up in some incidents which were out of my control. Overall a fun weekend of learning and new experiences.
