🏁ROUND 2 RECAP🏁

It was a tough weekend at The Bend Motorsport Park for Alice, George and Jack for Round 2 of the Toyota 86 Scholarship Series.

Jack, George and Alice had a strong start to the weekend, qualifying in 10th, 11th and 12th in a field of 31 cars.

Jack was going strong until the last corner of the final lap where he unfortunately had an off which put him back to 30th for Race 3. He made up 9 positions finishing 21st.

Alice remained in the top 12 all weekend finishing the final race in 8th while having to nurse the car home with gearbox issues.

George battled it out in the first 2 races finishing 11th until blowing a gearbox in the last race resulting in a DNF.

🏁 Weekend Recap 🏁

It was a great start to the season for Alice, Jack and George with Round 1 of the Toyota 86 Scholarship Series done!

Unfortunately George had an ABS fault in qualifying which resulted in no lap time which then put him to the back of the field for Race 1. He was able to make up 16 positions to cross the line in 14th. This was George’s first time competing in this category and finished the round in 11th overall. 🏁

Jack had a strong weekend after qualifying in 6th and finishing all 3 races within the Top 6. Also a new category for Jack, bringing home 4th overall. 🏆

Alice qualified 7th and stayed at the pointy end of the field in all 3 races, wrapping up the weekend 5th overall. Alice now heads over to New Zealand this weekend to compete in Round 6 of the NZ Toyota 86 Series. 🏎️

🏁Bathurst 6 hour weekend wrap up! 🏁

It was George’s first time visiting the mountain, and after a strong performance all weekend he managed to finish the weekend 10th outright.

Alice and Jack started the long 6 hour race first in their class after Jaylyn did a mega job to put it on pole. A small graze with the wall knocked the ABS in the Toyota 86 sending Alice into the gravel trap at the chase. They managed to get the car fixed and ended the weekend 6th in their class. 🏎️
