First I was a mum to two furballs. Now I’m a mum to THREE beings who need snacks, cuddles, and emotional validation — and one big human who keeps asking where the remote is.
Postpartum guilt as a pet parent is real.
You love your animals so deeply — and then a tiny screaming person arrives and rewires your entire schedule (and nervous system). You miss your pets. You feel guilty. You wonder if they hate you (they don’t). You cry. They sit on you. You cry again. They lick your face.
To all the pet parents turned human parents — you’re not alone in this chaos. The balance comes. Slowly. With fur and burps and love and noise.
And one day soon? Your baby and pets will become a gang.
And you? You’ll finally p*e alone again. Maybe.
