FOOD IS LIFE 🍆🍓🥯🥩🌯🍪🧁
Before I’ve even had breakfast I’m thinking about what’s for lunch. I’m OBSESSED with asking other people what THEY’RE having for lunch. I literally RUSH home when I know I’m having a great dinner. I fcking LOVE food so much man.
A lot of clients come to me with fat loss goals, concerned that they’re going to have to eat sh*tty salads for every meal and give up all their favourite foods if they want to get in shape. But it doesn’t have to be like that! If you take that approach, chances are you’re going to be super strict for a while and then fall off the wagon into an endless pit of cake and chips, because your approach was unsustainable from the outset. Sound familiar?
💡 Moderation and forward planning are your friends here. You need to make lifestyle changes that you can stick to. Here’s 5 hot tips for enjoying your food and keeping your bod looking fine as hell:
🟣 Prep your meals so going ‘off plan’ is less likely; the decision-making element of what to have for lunch has been removed. Your meal is there waiting for you to heat up in 5 minutes when you’re hungry.
🟣 Diarise your weekly splurge meals so you have something to look forward to. I usually go for one chunky dessert, and one chunky dinner. I enjoy these treats so much more when they’re a weekly thing, rather than daily.
🟣 Make choices that align with your goals. Swapping the bun on your burger for a light roll, and getting small instead of large fries, might be the difference between your maintenance calories and surplus calories.
🟣 Don’t compare yourself to others. What your friends/housemates/partners are eating doesn’t concern you, their goals may not be the same as yours so chances are your diet shouldn’t be the same either.
🟣 If your goal is fat loss and you have a particularly heavy weekend of eating/drinking coming up, ensure your steps stay high, you still hit your diarised workouts, and you have your food shop ready for Sunday to get right back on track on Monday.
You don’t have to give up your social life to lose weight. You just have to make smart decisions and remember your goals. 🥅
