Round 3 Mid Week Pennant

22/10/2026

Swanpool welcomed Milawa to their home turf for Round 2 of midweek pennant in what was a friendly game of bowls played in sunny conditions.
The match saw a tight tussle for two of the rinks with victory going Swanny’s way.

Well done team!

Round 2 was a home game for Swanny. Having not played pennant on our green at all last season, it was great to be back at home. Warm conditions saw yet another tight contest against YMGCR with Swanny hanging in there to claim victory by 11 shots.

Well done team, great effort!

Round 1 midweek pennant kicked off today with a trip to Myrtleford for a qualifying final rematch. A new carpet green and chilly conditions saw a close game, with the result going the home teams way. A great effort for Rd 1.

We also welcomed two new bowlers to our club and midweek pennant side in John Lobbe and Wally Czochara as well as welcoming Judy Barber back to the club.

It’s great to see some new faces around the club. Welcome!

O&M Novice Singles were played over the last two Sunday’s in Rutherglen. In what was their last Novice Singles due to having played their 3 years, Bec and Brooke played some amazing bowls to get some wins on the board. Well done to Bec who progressed through to the finals series, going down in what was a high standard game that went down to the wire.
Well done ladies!

Round 1 saw our weekend A3 pennant team come up against Club Corowa. Having not played Club Corowa in recent years, the competition was unknown. It was a great tussle and a great start to the 26/27 pennant season. Well done team!

Also a quick shout out to Les Wallace who played his first game of pennant for the club… welcome to Swanny Les!
