This week we had a stroke event at the Stroud Golf club , with a competitive number of players turning up.

With the heavy due on the ground and heavy fog in the air , made it difficult for the first hour to get consistent shots.

Today’s putt for cash was drawn by Phil Bowen.
Valued at an incredible $455 dollars , it would be a happy golfer it the putt went in.
It looked on line for the jackpot to be claimed , but slipped passed the hole.

At today Sunday competition at Stroud Golf club , we played our 4 ball best ball (4BBB) championship competition.
Numbers were limited due to holidays and cloud cover , but we had a great turnout still.

There was some good scores on the course , and some great scores by the higher handicappers.

Sunday the 16 th August saw members play a stableford competition.

The day started with a delay due to the rain drizzle.

Some members were off to Harrington open , which was rained out , and subsequently postponed to a later date. These players made it back in time to boost our numbers.

Thanks to the players from the hunter valley that turned up to play.
We always welcome members from other clubs to play our Sunday competition.

This weeks draw for the ever increasing putt for cash was won by Joel Nicholls.

Valued at $415 , it was a nervous putt.

But unfortunately the putt narrowly missed and will stay alive thill next week.
Joel went on to win our monthly medal competition for August.
