Stockton parkrun Event #549 - 05.09.26

What a morning! The first parkrun of spring turned on the sunshine and delivered a day that felt more like the start of summer bright, warm, and absolutely perfect for getting out on course.

A huge shout out to the 264 legends who joined us today, including 39 first timers. Whether you ran, jogged, walked, or cheered, you brought the energy and made the morning brilliant.

Massive thanks to our superstar volunteers, you show up, you smile, you make it happen every single week.
We are grateful for everyone who helped fill the September roster. October still has plenty of volunteer spots once we return after our week off on the 26th, so jump in if you can.

Stockton parkrun Event #548 – 29.08.26 – Winter’s Grand Finale!

What a way to farewell winter! This morning absolutely sparkled, cool air, calm conditions, and just enough grey cloud to make everything feel fast without threatening a thing. If you ordered “perfect parkrun weather”, this was it.

A massive shoutout to the 305 legends who joined us, including an eye‑popping 60 first timers. Sixty! Maybe they were escaping the Sydney chaos this weekend and decided Stockton was the place to be😀. Whatever brought you here, you brought the energy and with 41 PBs flying everywhere, the course clearly agreed.

Our volunteers? Absolute champions. Week after week they show up, smile, cheer, time, scan, marshal, and make this whole thing possible. We’re a bit light on for next Saturday, so keep an eye out for a mid‑week call‑out your help truly keeps the event running.

❤️A special moment today: a runner stopped around the 4km mark to help a fellow parkrunner who was struggling to breathe. They’ve since let us know they’re feeling better and incredibly grateful, even apologetic for “ruining your run”.
On behalf of them and all of us: thank you.That’s the spirit of parkrun right there.❤️

Good morning parkrunners!
The track is set for today’s 5km parkrun. Weather is cool around 14-15 degrees with possible morning showers, so expect a testing start. Track is likely to be damp in sections so stick to the shared path. Soft to Good. Barriers are open, with plenty of room early. Watch the wind along the exposed sections. Settle early, save the legs, and unleash down the straight. Best of luck, may your legs be fast and your excuses slow!

Stockton parkrun Event #547 – 22.08.26 – TutTu Day

Perfect conditions for TutTu Day this morning, and it was brilliant seeing a few colourful tutus out on course. 246 people joined us, which included regulars, visitors, and first‑timers, great to have you all.

Huge thanks to our volunteers for making it all happen.

And thank you to everyone who helped fill next Saturday’s roster; we’re still short the week after if anyone can help.
