Roughly 300 competitors in one place in metro Brisbane, most travel with a back up rifle in case of equipment failure.

Only a couple of weeks to go until the Goondiwindi Rifle Club 2026 Prize Shoot, running on the 4th, 5th and 6th of September.

A much needed, but unfortunately a small rain event overnight didn’t stop 22 Firers enjoying the Ridges 600 yard point.
We welcomed Nigel from the Hornsby Manly Target Rifle Club Inc and Cal and Blair down from Tamworth Peel Valley Rifle Club for a quick couple of stages. Unfortunately they took the calm conditions we had in morning back to Tamworth.
We also welcomed Henry out for look and a try. Hope you enjoyed the Day mate!
After lunch we had a different range to the mornings efforts, a switching wind with pick ups and drop offs which made a few scratch their heads in wonder!
Our Top C***s this week are Angus, back from a great result at the QRA Queensland Rifle Association Kings on his beautiful 6GT. Go Tiger! Awesome to see!
With our Junior James getting the Junior Top C**k piloting a Dasher.

Our sporter crew are getting some practice in with 15 shot stages ready for the Tikka Sporter challenge held in Sydney next month. Lookout the boys from the Bush are heading down!
With Clint (Mr disappointed with scoring a lazy 75.11) and Dave (Mr don’t have enough elevation at 800mts so I’ll aim a metre above the target AND score a 75.15)
Look out Beretta Australia the Ridge will be well represented!

Congratulations to our three competing in F Open in Brisbane.
They all REPRESENTED our club with pride and there was quite a few members there in spirit, playing along at home! FOMO? 💯!
Will gained 3rd places in 2 ranges at 500 and 600 yards on day one. Winning the First day Agg.
3rd in the second and third day aggregates. Finishing 2nd in the Grand Aggregate! Awesome stuff!
Kurtis picked up 3rd place at 900 yards today. Finishing in 23rd place. Well done mate!
Angus achieved a very creditable 17th place out of an impressive field of 41 superstars in F Open and a whopping 275 shooters in the 3 day event!

Especially well done to Will, with a 4th and 2x 3rd places today in F Open.
That consistency gives Will the win for the Day One Aggregate!

25 shooters rocked the Ridge today. What a glorious day it was too!
We welcomed Hayden back for another crack and Nick for a second visit.
Our Top C**k was Chris Davis in F Open, punching a 60.9 and a 60.8.
Well done mate!
With James second in F Open with 60.5 and 60.8 and winning our Junior Top C**k. Well done too!
With a few members heading to the Queensland Kings we look forward to cheering them on!

Today at the 300 yard mound we had 25 shooters arrive to a cold but sunny day.
We welcomed Hayden back for a second look and Jack for a first try. With a few regulars unavailable, it was a great turn out at our closest but most unforgiving distance.
With the x ring smaller than a watch face it posses a great challenge, today was no exception.
Our Top C***s were Dave in Sporter, knocking a 100.14 and James our junior top c**k one centre ahead of Madyson with two dropped shots and 10 centres.
With all our juniors showing they are on track to clean up, it was a fantastic day to watch.

Our are also getting primed for some upcoming OPMs so there was some load checking and development at the end of the day.
