Yesterday we went to the Down Under Modified Tractor Pullers AGM and presentation night at the Novotel Geelong.

We had a great time and even managed to pick up a couple of trophies, Down Under MTPA Outlaw class- 3rd place overall and a hard luck trophy from Hundred Metre Motorsport (hopefully no more hard luck awards in the future).

Thanks again to Down Under MTPA for putting on the best events and making it easy for us to just show up and do what we do.

Not a whole lot happening here this off season. But we finally got around to picking up our freshened up Powerglide with a whole new valve body and our freshly serviced torque converter.

New event on the calendar!

Unfortunately we'll be away 😪🇮🇩

Last year we went to Europe in October and ended up missing the first two events of the season. So this year we booked a holiday at the start of August thinking we'd be safe!

Should wait till the AGM before booking our holidays in the future.

Keith is done and dusted and that's us done for our first season back on track.

We came over a day early and had the tractor running beautifully for Scrutineering on Friday afternoon.

When it came time to start it up this morning, we couldn't manage to get it to idle, had a heap of moisture coming out of the exhaust, like the fuel absorbed some of the heavy fog this morning, despite the tractor being in the trailer.

We managed to kill the starter trying to get it started and after having trouble with my spare starter it looked like we were going to have to load it up without having a run.

Luckily, thanks to Stuart Larcombe, we had another starter and had it running and ready for the third and final run of the day!

Hooked to the sled, got the green flag, then bang, on to the limiter with smoke and oil coming from the transmission. Could smell that I had cooked the band... again! Quick check back in the pits confirmed this.

Super disappointing season for us, but so happy to be back amongst it. We'll send the valve body off in the coming days and try and make sense of whats going on so we're ready for next season!
