A cricket club isn't built by eleven people.

It's built by people like, well too many names to mention really.

There are names that appear in scorebooks.

And then there are people who made sure there was a club there for everyone else to play for.

As we work through Spreyton's history this anniversary year, we want to make sure those stories aren't forgotten.

What's your first memory of Spreyton Cricket Club?

Not necessarily your best memory.

Your first one.

Maybe you were a junior.

Maybe Mum or Dad dragged you along.

Maybe you arrived as a senior player and somehow never escaped.

Maybe you spent your childhood running around the boundary while somebody in your family played.

Maybe your involvement had absolutely nothing to do with cricket and everything to do with the people around it.

We're collecting the history of Spreyton for our 80 year anniversary, but scorebooks only tell part of it.

The people remember the rest.
