Well done to our incredible crew of Devils and Polar Bears who made the trip to Coles Bay to take on the “Devil of a Swim”! 💪🌊

Whether it was the 5k, 2k or 1k, every one of you showed grit, determination and that signature wild spirit. Spectacular conditions, an even better community, and some seriously impressive swims all round.

Huge thanks to the water safety crew for keeping a watchful eye and all volunteers for making the swim happen.

What a way to wrap up the season at the Beach2Beach swim in Kingston! ❄️🌊

Greg made the journey with his support crew to take on the 5km — with snow on the mountains and icy winds, it was no easy feat. But that didn’t stop him from pushing through and placing in his age group!

The final TOSS series swim for the season couldn’t have ended better. Massive effort, Greg — it’s been awesome watching your ocean swimming skills grow this season and seeing you inspire others to get out there and brave the open water. 💪

Way to finish strong!

Huge thanks to all the volunteers and swimmers for supporting the Tassie open water events.

Making the absolute most of those last golden weeks of warm weather ☀️

A brave crew of salty legends took on the swim from the Bluff to Sawdust Bridge — what an adventuresome swim during that late-summer magic we all love.

Some tackled the full 5km, while others jumped in along the way from Coles Beach or the Don River mouth — everyone finding their own challenge and soaking up the ocean.

These are the swims that stay with you. Big effort 💙 🌊

What a glorious day for our final outdoor pool session! The conditions couldn’t have been better ☀️

In true tradition, the Devils took on the challenge of 100 x 100s. As a club, we clocked up an incredible 72km in total — an amazing effort!

Everyone gave it their all, tracking the kilometres as much as life (and the body!) allowed. Huge thanks to everyone who showed up and made it such a special morning.

Hope you’re not too sore… and we’ll see you all back indoors soon 💙

🛡️ The Parry Shield 2025

The Parry Shield recognises a member who truly represents the spirit of our club. It honours someone who inspires others through their attitude and determination, contributes to the club over time, and demonstrates leadership while embodying our values of Fitness, Fun and Friendship.

This year, the Parry Shield is awarded to Nina Edwards.

Members highlighted Nina’s positivity and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and included in the club. Many also recognised the significant work she does behind the scenes to help keep the club running smoothly.

As a committee member, Nina continues to actively promote the club through social media and by engaging with prospective new members, helping our community grow and thrive.

Members described Nina as someone who:
• Creates a welcoming and inclusive environment for all swimmers.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and commitment to the club.
• Promotes the values of Fun, Fitness and Friendship in everything she does.

🌟 Swimmer of the Year 2025 🌟

Our Swimmer of the Year award is especially meaningful because it is voted for by our members. The award recognises a swimmer who demonstrates outstanding performance, contributes to team success, and shows the qualities of a role model within the club.

This year’s Swimmer of the Year is Greg Bellwood! 👏

Greg received strong support from members who highlighted not only his performances in the water, but also his attitude and dedication to the club. Over the past year Greg has shown incredible commitment to improving his own swimming, while generously sharing what he learns with others and supporting fellow swimmers along the way.

Members described Greg as someone who:
• Inspires others through his determination and positive attitude
• Demonstrates leadership and supports other swimmers
• Has shown remarkable strength and improvement this year
• Embodies our club values of Fitness, Fun and Friendship

Greg has also taken on new challenges, swimming in a variety of events and locations throughout the year and embracing each experience as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Congratulations Greg on a well-deserved award and thank you for the energy and spirit you bring to the club! 🎉

🏆 Masters Point Champion 2025 🏆

A big congratulations to our 2025 Masters Point Champion – Lucy Cochran!

Lucy accumulated an impressive 3,322 points throughout the season by competing in Masters swimming events across the year. Her consistency, commitment, and willingness to race across multiple meets made her a very deserving winner.

Points are calculated based on performances relative to age group standards, which ensures the system is fair and comparable across different ages and events. This means every swim counts, and swimmers of all ages have an equal opportunity to compete for the title.

Lucy was closely followed by Nina and Rick, making it a tight competition right through the season!

Well done Lucy on an outstanding year of racing and representing the club.
