In the shed to sort out the small issues from our dust up at the nationals. Super happy to say we’ve received our letter of qualification for the J24 Worlds in November. Time for some training to begin.

Training last night in 20+ knots. It was the first time we had the whole team together for a training session and it was smooooth. Gotta love this team 🤙

Another great day for Katie, Ali, Annie and me (the guest) on the water and good to see the other J’s out. Close racing over a short course meant the corrected finish times were tight 😳 We had our moments but managed to get the scratch win and 3rd on corrected time. Just 39 seconds separated 1-5th. Congratulations to Macie on Okavango Delta. 3 races down and 2 to go. See you all in the new year. Thanks to Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron for running the race and Marg's Yacht Photos for the coverage on the course. Friday fun days. Middle Harbour Yacht Club new Friday night spinnaker twilights series race 1. Great start to the weekend. Race 2 November 3 starts 6pm followed by a beach and club BBQ. Birubi J70 Racing Zhik J/70 AUS Class Association

New season new adventures. Our first race of the 2023/24 Sydney women’s keelboat series. Following in from last years Div 1 win on Georgia Express, this year we’re Div 2 on the J70. 3 J70’s on the course. A great race, Katie got the gun and just missed the corrected time win by seconds. Her first race on the helm with a new crew and what a way to start. Thanks to for running the race and for the images. Looking forward to the next event in October.

Great weekend back with the mighty Georgia Express Sailing Team helping them to Lion island and back. An amazing day with a first class team now in training for the upcoming Cruising Yacht Club Of Australia Blue Water Pointscore series. Next race is this weekend to Flinders off Wollongong and back. Plenty of training ahead of this years Sydney to Hobart.

This weekend will see Katie O'Mara taking Birubi back on the race course for the first of the Sydney women’s keelboat series races.

The season is back in full swing.
